I know, I'm working on it! If I don't catch you before the big move, I'm REALLY gonna be bouncing all over the country to see you all!

RE: THANKS PAUL!

Just wanted to say the skateboard sounds like a cool idea. I don't think you could do that many tricks though.

You know a stop by your shop is in the works Paul! I need to guest star on one of the TG episodes. I'll be the guy buying drinks for all the TG's.

RE: THANKS PAUL!

I think I'll spray one up tomorrow and stop by TRU when it's drying.

I'll let you know about the tricks. Only the center is obstructed by the vents, but the rest of it is pretty straight-forward.

Jack, did you get your Batsignal yet?

As long as we're talking about Batsignals... Here's a "Happy New Year" pic I shot of Silent Bob unloading the Batsignal in Schamburg, Il.

Enjoy!

OK...

So I didn't get to the Gun door skateboard today. Spent the time cleaning up some 89 parts and messing with the TunerBat bike torpedo tubes.

But I think I'll get to it tomorrow.

RE: THANKS PAUL!

Yeah... They're fun!

Thursday... I'm gonna shine mine on some REAL creative place on a TunerGirl and upload the pic on the "Car Chicks" thread. (Don't worry DH, it won't be XXX, just NC-17.)

Tim... OK... I'll break down and make a trip to the mall and get you your Belt buckle and secret decoder Batsignal too. I'll put it in the box with your Gun door (which was MOMENTS away from being a skateboard prototype tonight)

I bought a skateboard with cool yellow BAT wheels on it tonight so I figured I'd make one.

I have to fill in the holes I put in your door when I screwed it to a board to flatten it out to make the new mold. So I figured "A few more holes wouldn't matter!"

But I finished the other board members stuff tonight

but I needed to get some stuff done for the show on Thursday, so I f'ed around with my TunerBat cycle outer wing.

Look Jack!!!

Regular! and Extra Crispy!!!!

I think it looks really cool and has a slight 89 styling too it now.

Was a bitch to sand inside the large tube by hand tonight. The cardboard tube covered in clear tape WAS a cool idea in concept, but I should have just blown the ten bucks and bought a large PVC pipe when I bought the small one. My hands are cramped and I'm typing like sh@# now as a result.

Your Batbike seat looks cool.

Told ya!

Now... grab 100 bucks and haul your butt over to TRU and buy a KETT car to make your Robin go kart.

You DO get a body for that in your kit too you know?

Of course, yours won't be chrome/kelvar and bulletproof, but we can still race them.

Or... You can do what Sharp does and sign up for "Your free Rascal Scooter!"

(At least that's what he TELLS me he does for his go-karts. I think he just reads the obits and knocks on doors to get the scooters cheap.

(Hey, it's not like you can just GIVE them to other old people without insulting them. Old people get them free from medicare anyway, then they pass on and its up to Batcycle builders to put these things to good use.)

Sharp tells me he can get 45MPH out of them when you strip off the chair and all the crap and put a Bat go-kart body on it. I rode his and 25MPH scared the sh#$ out of me.

I mean... "What drugs was Dean on when he came up with this seat setup in the first place?" The girls sat on the carbon one last week and said "How sexual is this setup?" then started a$$-smacking whomever was on the cart.

"Thank you sir, May I have another!"

The custom go-kart handlebars on the TunerBat bike are even lower than the original, so that should make for some awesome filming.

RE: THANKS PAUL!

I finished up the stuff I had to make tonight a little early, but not early enough to make the post office.

So I was gonna use your gun door to prototype the Bat skateboards.

But in lining yours up, I realized that I'd have to slice off the last 4 inches of the gun door to make something a little bit more rideable, and yours was saved from the drill press.

I did use one of the client's doors to take a mockup photo and get some ideas...

Looks cool!

In taking this pic, I've decided that a rough glass bottom would look pretty bad, so I'm going to sculpt the bottom of the board and add some grab rails and a set of steel reinforcement rails in the glass to keep it from snapping in half during jumps.

More on that soon...

RE: THANKS PAUL!

Oh...

The Ford GT...

I'd like to say that it's mine... but that's not the case.

That photo was taken of the test fit of the Bat go-kart that Brett has on his bike when it was at the metal shop a few years ago.

The shop that I use, Specialty Fabrication, to make 89 chassis, batcycle frames, my Batwing and just about everything else metal, (they're making my Begins throwing birds scaled up from the rubber toy ones for all my "bat friends" on the board), is a place that makes kit cars and all kinds of cool metal projects (Even a 300 yard pumpkin firing catapult).

They've got some great cars there, Ferrari kits, Lambos, race cars and the owner is into GT 40's and makes chassis for a local kit car manufacturer. It's his GT. The cool thing is that the body on his is a real GT 40 body used to make the original kit car company molds.

RE: THANKS PAUL!

Hahahaha

Sucks to be a guy doesn't it Matt?

The guys who work at the shop think so too. The girls just take the keys to anything and everything they want.

Except the Ferrari. The house rule is "YOU ASK for that one... And you ask naked! No exceptions."

As for the gun doors. That depends on what condition you want them in?

An out of the mold set, like you see in the pics above will set you back $200 plus shipping. You'll need to break out the glazing putty or bondo and clean up some spots and do a little sanding and painting.

$400 gets you a set ready to be framed if you wish all sanded, painted and polished.
