Lucky you.. my wife absolutely despises anything sci-fi / fantasy related.. So far no luck in convincing here a homebuilt Tumbler is more fun than a Daihatsu Materia..

| Okay I'm finally trying to catch up. I'll say it here first but this goes for all of you CLTC Tumbler builders. YOU GUYS ARE AWESOME!!!! I am so very impressed with your determination, dedication, and most importantly your talents. Chile I am loving what you have done and your idea of how to make the parts. Looks like to me you have done some model aircraft building in your time. I can't wait to see what's next. Oh and to all of you guys.... Just because I don't often reply doesn't mean I don't care or are not interested. I am, big time and I check all of your threads daily. GREAT WORK!!!..

| Far as I could tell it was the real deal. I don't know the car that well but from what I could see by the Ford tags and stamps and how it was made and assembled it seemed real. The engine had a tag that said it was hand built, where it was built and two signatures stamped into it. Also their were ford labels and stamps in a lot of the parts. Thats only the second one I've seen around town and the first one I've seen up close.

Awesome dedication and progress Chili. If only I had the funds available .... I could learn fiberglass as I go along. I also love the idea of the gullwing doors. Not only more practical, but also probably a lot easier to fix if something would go wrong. Looks like the original canopy design would take a LOT of hydraulics to raise/open/slide.
Anyone building one close to Ohio want some help??
