So Friday for me wasnt a good Friday, Beth called me and said that she has was in her Ranger coming from Birmingham and says she has the pedal to the floor, and she's barely doing 30 mph. Not only that, but she is smelling burnt rubber bad. The truck is manual, and for you mechanics out there, im sure you know what that means. Weird thing is, as bad of news as it is, neither of us are all that upset lol.
Its gonna be a good $200 bucks to fix the truck, Not to meantion a good days' worth of labor. So Beth and I have decided to junk the truck. It was planned to junk it AFTER the Camaro was finished, but that didnt happen as planned.
I spent all day today rushing the work on the car, most of it was body work today, just cleaning it up and primering it up with rustoleum, fiberglassing, bondo'ing, those kind of things, nothing too far into detail, that might start next weekend. In the meantime Beth is gonna just carpool with some friends here in town to work, and give them gas for the ride until i can finish up the Camaro. Here are a few pictures.

the engine needs a rebuild, thats why its just flopped in there and not straight.

i ripped my pants on a sharp peice of metal not long after this picture was taken, but i wont get into that.

also in that last picture you can see Beth's '63 in the corner, i cleaned on the firewall a bit a few weeks ago.

Sorry to here about the truck Shaggy. Hope all goes well. I've actually been to your neck of the woods. Did my army training at Ft. McClellan outside of Anniston. Even got my first tattoo down there from a guy named Wolfman.

ugh! and you didnt stop by and say hey!
Honestly Larry, as "bad" as it sounds, we really arent all that upset. She has friends at work that are well aware of the situation, and offered her a ride until she can get a replacement vehicle. Beth is gonna pay them a percentage of gas money.
So since she now wont be spending $160 in gas every two weeks, and she got to drop the insurance on a (now not running) Ranger, that should be extra money we can put towards getting the Camaro running that much quicker.
But thanks for your concern
