 There is a universal feeling that speech should be free but in reality there is no requirement to listen.  The heckling has come into play in the recent news and again it falls into the realm of freedom of speech.  How do you shut someone up when you don't want to hear their message.  And thirdly freedom of possession. Once we post a picture or text to the web we loses our exclusitvity.  It literally does not belong to us.  I wish it wasn't true but I sincerely believe it to be true.

In my life I have had negative messages sent to me through words or gestures and I've realized I can't stop it.  Because the freedom that give me the right of free speech also gives the hecker the right to free speech.  And by resticting what a person can say to me restricts everyones right to speech.  But I can refuse to listen.

As a way of dealing with this I've come to a Universal law that I cannot stop you from saying what you are going to say but I can contol how I will react to it.  This has helped me so much in understanding life, to essentially bulletproof myself from what people may say about me wether its true or a lie. To let what started out as a small request then rage into an all out war does not seem worthwhile.

I've talked to a couple of members and they have the highest regards for your skills and your contributions to CLTC.  But this is not a democracy.  People are in power and have the right to make certain decisions.  This essentially is not our site even if we have contributed or not.  We re invited to participate.

I wish there was a way to make this all go away and resume to normal because I enjoyed your build log.  But this will take the humble approach to realize maybe we were wrong or maybe we were percieved as wrong either way life is just so short for this.

Buddah said if a man were to hurtle insults at you and instead of accepting them you merely decided to reject them then the question becomes who do the insults belong to. My humble suggestions is in the future when people want to lash out at that person for hurting their feeling or insulting their integrity one may simple reject what that person has to say.  Our lives should not be bent on judging others, our job is to live in harmony.  And if you ever started your own website I would contribute but I would realize you are king

Finally I think CLTC is different from Gotham Garage because of one thing.  Last week it was made up of us and you.  That's what made it different.  We should ask orselves how would this website be if everyone was just like me. 

If we want the world to be more honest, we must be more honest. If we want the world to be more fair, we must be more fair to one another.  And if we want the world to be more forgiving and understanding we must be more forgiving and understanding.  I am not directing any of this to you but to everyone at CLTC and I guess the world.

  I sincerely regret you leaving and see it as a great loss for both you and I.  But any reconsilliation of the situation comes from the forgiveness and understanding.  If not now, then when.   The forgiveness of others begins with ourselves.  Your pal  BWD

Are we any different...........

We exist because we share. We make comment. We show pics & video. We discuss ideas & give tips. We find or make pieces. In short, we post. They might do that over at GG (I have visited a few times) but, we do not sell 'kits'. We do not promote 'one builder'. We do not have a 'salesman' as an adminitrator. There are many differences between CLTC and GG (look at the photo database, the archive, etc).

With regard to what you are suggesting. I have never had my comments altered or edited in any way. I have always been able to express myself openly on this forum (even when I said the cars never left England). I believe that through DH and the other Admins, I can openly say your latest pic of your build is a POS if I want to (even if I dont have a POS to compare it to). Same as you can give your opinion about anyone elses pic/build/comment. I felt the comments on your build log were fair and not personal. I'm sorry you felt different and wanted your build log deleted.

Please dont make this situation anything more than it is, buy suggesting CLTC and its members have some sort of 'bully boy' group that will hound ya if ya don't agree with them. Nothing could be further from the truth, as I see it.

BTW: If this gets edited, I'll let ya know.
