Hey Conrad, if it were easy, there would be thousands of Batmobiles running around. It takes time and yes money. I am glad I own one, but I am way behind schedule getting it rebuilt. It was originally an MT build which as you know means every single piece has to be redone. Still I am having a blast. It is worth every hour and dollar I put into it.

Thanks Mr. Wayne. Those are encouraging words. It's been almost one year since i joined this web forum and I consider it the beginning my endeavour. I've learned alot and still have much to learn. Everyday I get closer and if I fall on the way...well, you know....why do we fall?

Hey, haven't posted in a bit...so an update.

So after a year of thinking, drawing, talking, asking, learning, buying, thinking, thinking and more thinking, I'm starting my Tumbler build. The only thing I have left to decide in the design area is a place for the gas tank. I'm liking BWD front nose idea making it easy to get to. I'm not 100% on the originals location - i think it's the passenger side. Nice capacity but watch out during a side impact! Bat-Halon-Extinguisher, Activate! Bat-Insurance-Premium-Increase, Activate!
I will post some pics after the holiday weekend.

Happy Independence Day friends!

Hey Conrad I think having the gas tank in the front makes sense from the practical part of filling up the gas tank.......I could pull up on either side of the pump....Also is a cool place in the sense that there is no exhaust running next to it and the side impact thing. Also there is no rubber hose extension running between the tank and the cap....Its a direct cap onto the tank....I figure the big front tires, rims and control arms act as my bumper.......I always felt like keep that tank outside the cabin......BWD
