Toying with the Idea of going back to my original frame (with the exception of the BWD front hoops for the control arms). I was looking at my newer concepts of the chassis and I'm not too sure about where my motor will mount, or how the body will go on. Funny what you start thinking about when you talk to fabricators. My new found local shop also liked this original mock-up.  Youngbat and NYB made me think about scale and how the body would fit. Good thing I haven't started buying steel prematurely.

y'know, looking at it now, and thinking about it back then, it does seem a tad off scale, maybe a bit wider, and lower?   I think you said the same thing a couple of months back.

Its always good to measure twice, cut once

Again, Youngbat and NYB made me think of the body and how it would fit and look. My original wood mock up follows the lead of (as I like to call them) the "Amazing Aussies" aka Grant: Master builder Extrodinairre.  I am dumbfounded by their work. I'd fly out to just shake the mans hand...and of course jump in the build and take off!!

That said, staying with this original wood mockup ensures a much better fitting for the body panels. I do want to make it look as much like the original as possible. I'm just glad I haven't purchased excess steel prematurely.

Oh yes shagg....defintely will be wider and lower, but the general design will remain (genreal design meaning how the round tubing will be placed).

do you plan on making it open up like a flower?  or just hatch it at the top?

Hatch....although I'd like to toy with the Idea of opening like a moonroof/sunroof does....slides up and back.
