Oh trust me, i dont mind going out of my way.  Honest.   And this wasnt me going out my way, this was me having fun!    I love fixing things, and helping people (who are willing to help themselves mind you).

Yeah, 40 acres of nothing but trees, 1 creek, and surrounded by cow pastures.  you want remote, this IS remote lol.  We use it for storage, and build jobs, thats why it looks so....dumpy.   We are hardly out there.  So i try to clean up inbetween building, but sometimes i dont have much success.

One day that will be me in my remote place. NC has some nice looking properties. I'll be visiting there in one week..maybe checking out potential areas to move to....we'll see. I at least want a "summer home" or Winter Place. A place where the driveway is a dirt covered road half a mile long and there's no neighbors visible. Basically the ride home the 89 took in the 89 movie. Yeah buddy.

Thanks again man, the dimensions helped! (and continue to help!)

No i haven't. I'm in NC on vacation! I'm in the Raleigh area. it's so nice and quiet and friendly and relaxing here. no loud stereosystems blasting or cars honking like on Long Island. we drove down in my brothers extended Escalade...holy fuel economy!! SUCKS!! but goes about 500 miles on it's gigantic gas tank, so he has my Jeep. I only stopped once to fill up on the way. plus it had more storage space so we brought the dogs. I'm staying with the inlaws...here's their house

real nice. almost half the price of my single floor ranch. this thing is huge.

here's the block.

It's like they took 3 football fields and built a neighborhood.

here's a place that was for sale about 45 min from raleigh (Dunn, NC). 5 ACRES!! this is more of what me and the wife wants...pleny of room for her horse and plenty of room for my builds!!

and here's me relaxing with my 10yr old pup.

We're driving back on Saturday and I have all of next week off too. this week relax, next week build. until then guys!!!

Yeah, I'm with Jack on that one!   There are alot of places similar to that here in Alabama, you mostly find them in Birmingham, or Auburn, places where there are "fancy city folks"  But it sure makes me jealous as to how well kept those places are!  I was thinking just the other day that i should start seeing about how much it would cost to build a house just like the one you have pictured in the distance (the one right above you with the dog).

Enjoy the serenity while it last!!!
