Hey guys...everyone building here is amazing and I'm not even gonna pretend to know as much as you engineering madmen. I'm starting out with a smaller scale bridging vehicle bout the size of this off road high performance kart

can anyone help more with the amazing steering system? and is anyone generous enough to have vehicle plans...i think it's amazing that some of you work just from pictures. thanks...and i love it here (wife says i got it bad)

| Welcome Nubie. Hope u hang out for a while. I'm glad to hear ur wife thinks you have it bad man for 2 reasons...1) It means we're all in the same boat and 2) if u have a wife it means ur old enough to give educated replys to the threads and not fill the board with "cool" and "awesome" and shite like that. I'm here at least until I finish my build. I'm becoming a obsessed with trying to figure out the steering engineering for the tumbler bridging vehicle. it looks like 2 sets of traditional steering components with the tie rods and steering arms reversed on both sides. any help with this would be most appreciated. (not cool or awesome).
So here i am Dee. here to stay.

| Hey Conrad, Welcome to the site. I am in the process of building the Tumbler. We have completed the first stage and the passenger compartment is completed. The second stage is to install the rear link system for the rear duallies. The third stage is installing the front end and it is complex. I am documenting each stage and looking at what was built and trying to improve on it. Your definately welcome to view my log and if you have any questions I will try to answer them if I can. ok so I've started. I'm drawing out the bottom chassis frame on plywood. I'm planning 1 1/2 inch square steel for the bottom. this will be my first weld in a long time. I used to do a little arc welding but now everybody is saying mig welding is easier. looking at some lincoln electric welders at home de-pot. i'm excited!
