So I've been reading these forums for about a year or so now. Never realized there is a builder in my own back yard. Was looking around Doug's site last night, and he is about 20 mins away from me. I shouted for joy, and once again the wife said I am nuts. 
Is Doug a member here? I might have to give him a call and stop by the shop.

Doug is a member, but he doesn't come by, often. I would suggest giving him a call, and going to his shop to see the quality of his work, in person. Tell him CLTC sent you!  Good luck. Oh, and take pictures if you go. Here's one from when I was at Doug's shop quite some time ago:

AWESOME! I am quite familiar with your work - didn't you do all or part of a great '89 costume some time ago? Didn't Kevin get parts from that? It seems we are getting plenty of costume makers these days. We would love to see your work in the OTHER BUILD LOGS section of this site, as well as how you do things in the CAVE WORKSHOP. We love pictures!!!
