Your car looks fantastic, how is the interior coming along?

What an amazing job Bob! You are truly a gifted craftsman. How difficult was it to make the roll cage? And did you use DOM tubing?

It's not who I am underneath, but what I do that defines me.

I use nothing but D.O.M. on this car. but unlike the original, I'm not using chrome molley. Not worried aout the little extra weight that you get from mild steel. not gona race it.

I have a really nice (mega affordable) tube bender I got at Lane automotive. their in-house company Allstar makes it. The only downside is that right now I need a shoe for it that can bend a 1.5 tube at about a 3" radius or less. and this one doesn't have one that small. this is for my sway bar. The original has two really tight bends. But this is an awesome bender for 300.00 new. bends without kinking. you can get a degree gauge to go with it.

So before putting on the body panels, how much would you say it cost for the tires, engine, shocks, and other materials, if you don't mind me asking......

Guns on. winshield wipers on. got two small pieces to put on just underneath the front window. then the anti-sway bar. Then beadlocks on the rear tires. rack typ thing over the top of the back end of the hatch, then just about done with the exterior. Winter will have me doing mostly interior, seats, the display stuff.

lotta dust in this shitty garage.

i see you got a door open in the back of yoru shop so you can fire up that afterburner , jk youngbat!   Man that looks awesome!    So the interior you plan on making as the movie portrayed correct?   not the "nascar" tube and autometer gauged interior the real Tumbler carried?

Great job!

That "door" you speak of, is actually where I boarded up the cheap glass window that I - and READ THIS CAREFULLY - "lost my balance and fell backwards through that window".

Was working on the rear, staring at it, tripped over something on the floor, and lost my balance going backwards. So to those of you wishing to repeat my endeavor in said confined area, take note..... through some divine miracle, I walked away from that. Always mind your surroundings. - Ducard.

also have a lovely scar on my left knee, where I lost control of an angle grinder that had a 36grit flaps on it. I liken this to building an airplane in a closet.

will take some closeups later today.
