I think I went through 4 before I got it right. The closest I have seen is the two PDF files that DH had on the board. I burned them to acetate and put them on the overhead projector and enlarged then until you get the correct size then draw it on card board the cut it out of sheet metal and bend to shape.

| :: My canopy works the same way that the real cars work. Using the bearing and bar method, with an actuator to push the canopy forward. Nitro's car works in a similar fashion. ::Well, I did get a free 66 out of the deal.
 :: (ED Note: I had to include this comment Posted 11/20/2005 8:21:58 "You guys get a special price on kits." :: To begin with it isn’t cost effective to set up just to pull a few pieces at a time. The body alone is the biggest piece and needs to be pulled in one piece. Yes the molds are in several pieces but you cannot mold each piece separately and then reattach them at a later time and expect the seams to hold together.
Just like anything else to piece meal the car would cost you in the long run twice as much as it would just to drop the 15 grand for a kit. You are still going to have the dash, seats, wiring harness, steering column, fuel cell, cooling system, floorboards and firewall, gauges, wheels and tires and so on. You can piece these out all you want. If you can afford to part out the car, than you can certainly drop 15grand for a kit. Even if you do all the work yourself paint and body, frame work, electrical wiring, sheet metal fabrication. You are going to run up a parts bill including the kit at least 35 grand easily.
I am just being realistic, If you cant afford to at least put in the initial 15 grand then you will most likely not have enough resources to complete the car. :: Specs:
 I ordered them in stainless steel.. :: they are around $60 for two latches and two keepers. :: The steering column is a Flaming River, they are cheaper than Ididit and they are local. I also purchased universals and DD bar from them as well. :: They come with all GM connectors for the column hook up. :: Jack are you using the existing wiring harness or are you using EZ wiring or Painless? I prefer EZ wiring they mark their wires every few inches. I had to use Painless for the LT1 engine to run the computer and controlled items. As you can see I need to bundle all my wires. I haven’t hooked up any of the lights or other stuff. I just wanted to get the car running. And the race is on Jack and Nitro!! <---- Jack is going to beat me to the finish?
Nitro we want to see your pictures!!

:: No I don’t own a shop; I am building my car out of my garage. The 66 kits are being pulled out of the local Cobra shop; the owner has been very gracious to us. He allows us to pull the molds and cars in his shop at no cost to us. We do purchase all our supplies from him at the same price he pays. He gives me technical support when needed. He scratch builds his Cobras from the frame up. He is finishing up a full race version with an integral roll cage, that is going to go to Turkey Rod Run this weekend. I will shoot some pictures this weekend to post on the board, Jack has visited the facility and seen his work for him self.
:: I used a soft automotive rubber between the glass and the frame. Here is a before and after pictures of the canopy, if done properly you will not be able to see the screw heads. I did mine the same way the real car was done and even spaced the screws the same distance as the real car.

 :: I transferred the PDF file to acetate and blew it up on the over head projector using the same aircraft gauge they used till I got the size right. Then I outlined on a piece of card board and transferred it to sheet metal. One of these days I need to pull a mold of the dash.
:: My Bat fuel cell came in today, it has pressure and return for the LT1 motor. It has 90 Bat OHMs compatable with my Bat fuel cockpit guage. Cant wait to build a cradle for it.
 :: Mine has a tilt front end, I will have to dig up a picture. I know Nitro has one of my car.
:: Steering wheel:
:: .....
 :: The air soft guns are more expensive than the real guns! :: My doors will be hinged to open inward so the guns will be exposed when up.

You will need this to go with the plans!
 :: The bottom four gauges on my dash are a whiskey compass, exhaust nozzle position indicator, transmission gear indicator and an AMP gauge. Here you go Jack close but not close enough.
 :: Here are my seats...

 :: This is what I ordered to use as a monitor. It has 2 AV inputs, 1 AV output, remote, 12volt DC. It should fill the MFD hole nicely.
:: The multi function display "MFD" came out of a F-15. Here is a picture of the right side. I dont have a picture of the center rail.
