This is probably the only post I'll ever make here, but I had to comment.

Yes, I read all 117 pages, followed all of the video links, and suffered through the other n00bs asking silly questions that were CLEARLY answered earlier. But enough of that.

Rusty,

Man, I am simply in awe of your tenacity, ability, and your bank account. This journey you have shared is amazing. That you did (almost) all of the work on your own and still managed to finish in "approximately eight months" is dumbfounding.

I have zero fiberglassing skills (and I bet you didn't have yours after all that glass you laid down), and I couldn't tell you a MIG from a TIG, but after reading this book of a thread, it doesn't matter that I couldn't do it myself. That you did it, and allowed me to come along for the ride through your photos and posts, is enough for me.

I just wish I had known about this as it was happening.

Again, thank you for allowing some of us to live vicariously through your work.

Now, if you need a mechanic, I work cheap and I promise not to eat too much.

Sincerely,
Scott E. Lee
O'Fallon, MO

P.S. The caption of the Jackson Sun picture No. 10 says, "John Dixon peers inside the tinted windows of a Batmobile displayed at the 44th Annual West Tennessee Antique Car Show and Swap Meet in downtown Jackson on Saturday.

I don't remember anything about the windows being tinted. Did the paper make that up also?

No, I am not that Scott Lee. I swear I'm not.
