| Here are pictures of my build. I started the day before Thanksgiving 2009. Should be done in about one month. Was working on the canopy today. Can't wait to have it done and paint it! Casey

Wow! That's amazing. And actually putting the car to work as a tow vehicle. I think thats great- its a good excuse to drive it and show it off.
Now how do those guns work or is that a secret? Some kind of oxy acetylene pops?

| Nice Job and to make a safe driver out of the corvette has been needed for members here for a long time. Did you go with air ride tecknowlages shock waves for your air system? To have a nice power plant and handling and reasonable cost it would be hard to beat the corvette. Can you show where you cut the two sections and how you supported with ladder rack and sheet metal and any other frame support. This is huge Up till now a custom frame or a caprice was really the only safe option but man you just changed that for good. Guns also very kick ass. Congrats.

| Hello, Thanks for the nice words guys. This is a great website! With regard to the C4 Corvette build. It is simply smarter for every reason. Easier to dismantle, can sell off the parts you don't need to recoupe much money, better everything, etc, etc.... It does require a bit more sophisticated engineering than a caprice chassis or the like, so it requires more skill. Honestly those Caprice chassis are probably easier for most people and I see why most builders have gone this route, but I demand a lot more from my cars. I don't like stuff that is fake. I expect my Batmobile to be just as confident braking from triple digits into a corner as any good sports car. Just bigger... The Corvette build works perfectly and is the smartest way to go if you have the ability to take it to this level. I don't want to give away all my secretes, but I will tell you this. I extended the Corvette about 24 inches where the seats are and about 19.5 where the engine mounts are. (if I remember correctly) This puts the firewall at the correct positions as well as the interior seating arrangments. Also, the car will have excellent weight distribution. Like I said, I'm going to take it to an open track day at Mid-Ohio. As for towing, the whole car is converted to air ride suspension, Those huge tires can take a lot of tongue weight, and my space frame chassis is more than adequate. Lastly, you must build a rather sophisticated hitch, but it is very doable. I have a big tranny cooler on it and the Vette engine has the power. I would be confident in towing up to 6000 lbs with it. However, I'll be towing less than 4000lbs. I tested it with an empty trailer and the car couldn't care less. Originally I intended to power it with a turbine engine, but using it as a tow vehicle seemed way more fun. Perhaps after I get my kicks with it as a tow truck I'll take out the Vette engine and drop in a Boeing or Allison turboshaft just to be silly. So that's the deal. Oh, my guns are oxy propane BTW. | It's A pleasure having you on the board we have a member here that has one all ready on a vett but he feels the builder did not make the necessary improvements to the frame to make it road worthy . I hope you can maybe give him some advice for either him or a qualified chassis shop to help remedy.

| Hey Chaparralman, Hey this is a great build. Very professionally done. Thanks for sharing the pics. Those are the same type of tires I want to use on my 89 build. Are those 20 inch rims? How tall are your tires? I understand if that's a secret I just love the overall stance of the car....BWD
