Hey T....hope you and everyone had a nice Independence Day...my build is going, but not as fast as i'd like it to! I didn't get to do what I wanted this weekend but I did finish the bottom.

I'm ready to bolt or rivet this floor on...

Hey Conrad I like the profile of the floor. The Rumbler's floor is similar. I installed some rock windows so one could see obstructions as I drive around. You could incorporate them into your build. A suggestion on the floor.Instead of drilling through the frame to install bolts or rivets you might consider drilling holes through the floorpan and circle weld the floor onto the frame. This would eliminate any weakening of the frame by drilling into it. Just a humble suggestion..

Hey I like those miniature horses. Where are you keeping them?

Nice work, your welding is looking very nice.....Dave

Hey guys....T-Man...I did the sides this weekend. 18 guage sheets to block the dirt and pebbles from jumping up at me!

Dave...thanks Sir! Those mini's were kept in our Dog Run going along the side and back of our Garage. We had 'em for a month...they were brought to a more suitable environment (a Barn) out on the eastern end of LI. I'm not sad they're gone...trust me! my wife already has a full size horse she takes care of at a friends house. We don't need more mouths to feed

I'm going to be pricing out how much it would cost to do a smaller version of what BWD did...custom dually rims...just on a smaller scale. If it costs too much...i may do what Terry did...wonder how those steel cylinders are holding up? They looked like they held in his video.

THANKS!!

So after burnin about 9 cutoff wheels and some grinding, I cut out the 4 plates/brackets for the 4link. i traced a template from a setup used for real cars.  There'll be 2 on each side (1/8th thick). I'll be drilling 5/8th holes for grade 8 bolts

the rear plates - the ones that will be on the axle - will be cut from the thickest steel i've worked with yet...1/4 inch.

Oh yeah...and i do hope to not use cutting wheels on this...unless i want to stand there forever....i want to get these plasma cut.

The whole thing looks great! I wonder, isn't that rack&pinion gonna be hard to steer after you put sizable tires on? I mean I'm all for strongarm steering, but I suppose the light weight of this puppy is gonna offset the tire's traction even while stationary...... I love the belly pan/frame the most so far, looks hardcore like it can take a beating! Are you gonna shoot this puppy across buildings or something? haha....
