thanks everyone for the kind words, I had hoped to be done by this weekend but I'm not going to be, tomuch to do yet.

I went out today and continued to keep working on the frame for the sweep...man I thought the top was bad...I'm building a frame useing 3d angles (well thats what I call them)

after getting that somewhat done I put the panel under it to mark the holes and to make sure the angle iron was positioned right...It wasn't ...so I cut a groove 10" up the angle iron and realized that this would work..the groove/cut is right behind the clamp in the uper part of this picture.

its a little hard to see in this next pic. to much glare

now an under shot of it in place ...temp.

I'll work on it some tomarrow.

Max ..I'm not sure on the window yet, I dont have reverse in it yet so its handy to reach in and grab the steering wheel that way.

                  This post is Rated-R

remember the section of angle iron I bent last night that would fit the contour of the panel...well today I went out and was going to drill and tap the holes for that section of the panel...I started to drill with my cordless and the battery died...so I grabed this older plug in drill ..changed the bit to what I was useing and started to drill....the frame shifted the bit got snagged (SNAP)...and from the force of me pushing and the weight of the drill, it happened so fast that I couldn't react fast enough...the drill flew down and tore through the top of my hand, right above my thum, slid down the bone, went through some muscle and pocked out the bottom....to make a long story short, I went to the hospital got fixed up, came home and finished what I started (with a gimp hand)

ya gore ...I have more pic. of what I did today but I have to wait for the batteries to charge so I can post them..probably tomorrow.

Conrad...ya it did take a long time at the hospital ..I was there for 3 hours it took me 30 min. to get in only because right when I was getting ready to fill out the paperwork with the nurse a lady came in with a little boy that had fallen and he had blood running down his face from his eyebrow ...I told the nurse to help them first. But when I got in, my doctor would come in and do this or that and then leave for 20 min....this went on the whole time. Finaly it came down to me getting an Xray and (when the doc. left the room) I grabbed a pair of tweezers off the table and dug a piece of the drill bit out of the palm of my hand...it must have broke off when the bit exited and hit the table.

well yester day I finished up the frame for the sweep and put it all together...

after I put it on I noticed something, can you guys see it?

NO ... not the huge hole in the top.. The panel's on the sides are off I have a big gap on one side.....this side is ok

But this side is not...

I fixed it today so theres not much of a gap now I also welded the frame to the main frame so everything is solid now....show pics tomarrow.

this is it so far.

So now I'm starting to work on some of the smaller plates and wings. These are the little plates that go above the rear air intakes.
