| I did a test run on the duels and had no problem turning. Do you remember the part in the movie Batman Begins when the police block the road and the Tumbler had to do a 180! The Tumbler made a sliding noise with the back tires! My kart did the same. I don't have much time right now because of work, but when I have a chance I would like to video a test run without the panels. I wanted to ask you is that 18 gauge steel, how big is that sheet and how much does it cost.

cool I wana see that video...well I went agenst my better judgment and got 20g the some stuff as befor the sheet size was 4x10 that is what 18g comes in also...well most of the time...this 20g 4x10 was $37.00 and I think the 18 would have costed $48 something. you can get alot of panels out of one sheet, my panels are a little smaller then what you'll be useing but I was able to get all those that are on my kart now out of one sheet with some good size chunks left over.

| i remember pricing steel for my 2/3rds tumbler at (i think) 16gauge and it was $350, shipped and paid for. Great Job t-man! Lets get those panels bent and positioned!

ya.. 16g is spendy..my first thought was to use that but I remembered working with it at a job I had and man trying to work with the stuff in a single car garage would have been a struggle that I did not want to deal with, plus the cutters would have to be heavy duty, I would always need someone with me to hold it and maneuver it around, and there would be no way for me to bend any of it. I was told that 16g is classified as more of a structural steel / I'm not sure why I've never seen that stuff built into a house or building.

| All right I got my break caliper in today.... 
These next pics. show the difference in the old one (left) and the new one (right) 
I went over to my other cart and noticed that the break is the same. Chances are this is what conrad has on his temporary rear. 
Oh ya.... I brought the front and top panels in mon. and they said that they'll be done some time this week.

Hey T! looks GREAT! My brake on the Manco kart I have rigged to the back of my frame is actuallu a drum style brake. I like the discs though...the new piece you got looks massive compared to the other one. wow...very nice...the golf kart axle i'm going to use will have drum brakes for each wheel.
...does it come in black?

| ya Terry I know what your saying on the camera we have one that uses those little vhs tapes....I was thinking of doing an inclosed cab at first too, but I came across something on the net where some one was talking about what the tumbler was like to drive and they said that it was terrible the turning radious sucked when going slow and theres so many blind spots that you have to keep moving to look out the windows and that makes the drive vary uneventfull. So I then decided to do the cut in the top...but what you might want to do is the sections of the paneling that would be in the way of you vision you could make those areas out of a dark plexyglass/acrilic it would be more work but safer when your driving all those birthday kids around (you know they'll want a ride) ...ya I was thinking that you would be the only batman birthday entertainer with a tumbler..wow you would be having all sorts of calls, hell the parents would want rides too...oh..when you start to work on the panels useing sheet metal DO NOT HAVE ANY GOOD CLOTHES ON ..I have gone through two paires of pants and three shirts..its almost like this stuff reaches out and grabs you. but anyways this is what I did to day...I first cut, welded, drilled and tapt on the piece of angle iron thats going to hold the rap-a-round(bottom) of the face panel. 
then I just added an extentions to the stand-offs hear and there 
this front panel was the worst so far...my hands are all scratched up...gloves were a hinderance so I had to bare hand it.
