did more on the steering system last night...

Drilling the holes and cutting the rod...let the metal and sparks fly

Tacked the brackets....a big oops on that 4th one.

this is a cut rod from the Blaster, it's 3/8ths threaded left and right. this will be the piece that will go from the wheel hub's turning arm to my bracket...ready to be welded.

I have to say how dumbfounded I am by how much I just don't know. When I watched T-Mans Tumbler Video he mentioned flipping the wheels for better turning radius. I thought..."BRILLIANT!!"

It  really starts to get exciting when you get the steering hooked up...you'll be so tempted to take it out and test it ... now that is a good thing ...test it out a few times see how it handles test speed and beat on it a little because if anything is to break its better for it to happen BEFOR you put on the panels...

I cant believe that the 6.5hp motor that I'm using on the kart scutes me around so good it has to weigh at least 250 to 300lbs so far.

6.5 HP? wow it really was moving you pretty easily. I remember weighing the front half of my build and just that was pushing about 215 lbs. I have the B&S 8HP motor on now, but it's barely welded on. After hearing and seeing what the 6.5 did on yours, i'm going to make SURE that go-kart rear is welded ongood and secure before driving.
Hopefully will be done this weekend with the steering.

I'm enlisting the help of a local guy to bend my round tubing and help with the 4-Link setup. I pick up the axle Next Friday (4/24 hopefully).

yep 6.5hp, but remember that I have that jackshaft set-up and that has alot to do with the take-off and torque.
