when you view a video on youtube to the right of the video is some "embed" code you should be able to copy and paste into your post and that puts the video in the post so you don't have to leave the forum.

like this

<object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/T-w5Nr7jDIs&hl=en&fs=1"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/T-w5Nr7jDIs&hl=en&fs=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>

Well I know some people are wondering how I was going to conect the arms to the mid frame so this is it..

I went and got 1 3/4 tubing (.095 wall thickness), washers (2" OD 3/4"ID), and 8" x 3/4 bolts and locking nuts

I welded the two ends of the bolts together, then tack welded one washer to the inside part of the the tubing that is welded to the mid frame, then inserted the 1 3/4 tube into the 2" tube on the frame.

then slid the arm onto the tube and put on the lock nuts

the inside

the outside

It looks like a giant scorpion

I'm realy trying hard to get this done with in the next month or two I'm getting to the point that i'm getting sick of working on it..plus my girl is getting sick of hearing me talk about "the tumbler go-kart" ..but I do catch the neighbors checking me out and I know they are wondering "what is he building now?"  They'll see.

On another note I went down to Ace hardware today to get some bolts and the guy that was helping me asked what I was building. I pulled out the plans and told him that I was making a special go kart. He saw the top view picture and said with a big smile "the batmobile" "yep" I said, "WOW when you get it done bring in some picture, I wana see it" well to make a long story short he invited me to a convention thats going to be held here memorial day weekend and "The Dragon" is going to be here. The Dragon aparently is the guy who made Mr.Freezes suit for the movie.  So I got something to look too.

Well this is what I did today, I couldnt find any brackets for my shocks so I had to build them...I took some 1 1/2 squair tubing (1/8 thick) and cut it down to the sizes I needed , grabed my vicegrips and used my chop saw to cutout one side of the tubing like this

unless you have a strong wrist and a good eye I wouldnt recommend doing this (I was desperate) .Then I grabed the grinder and went to town. Measured out the places to drill (this is my drill press) Harber Freight $200... my girls in the background are a little camra shy

and this is the end result..

I was pritty impressed with myself...now just watch I'll get the whole thing done jump in it, start flying down the street and the welds will break the thing will collapse and the paneling will act like a bunch of cleavers in to my chest.

Hay thanks J...I went out today and put the chains on but they came out to loose..

I tried to mess with the linkage but it just wouldn,t work, the sprockets are a little off center so the chain doesn't line up or tighten on both sets at the same time...this next picture shows what I did ...I placed some 1/8 steel inbetween the jackshaft  "box thingy" and the motor mount plate...not sure if you can see this .

I also got these in today 5/16 tie rod ends...they are a little small...I'm not to sure if I feel comfortable using these for my steering. What do you guys think think they'll work?
