So I've been away for some time now, getting some things in order, working on a new shop. Wondering if anyone has some fore info on parts or just random thoughts in how certain parts of this machine could function. Maybe somebody could spread some light on the procedure of creating the fiberglass panels that have more then one side seen. Examples would be the rear six spoilers, the set of legs on the driver and passenger side windows, and all the front edges that stick off the front. The regular panels are straight forward with just coating a female mold of the master plug but the panels in the examples could not be made the same, ideas?

Hi there,

For the mold question for complex parts you will have to make multi-piece molds that you bolt together to lay your fiberglass up in, and then un-bolt them to pop out your piece.

In some cases like the rear wings, they might be easier to make out of metal.

It will all depend on the piece.

the bolt that is fartherest left in that picture is identical to the bolts that were in the kit for my son's crib

They were flathead allen bolts, but the edges were tapered back slightly.  Kinda cool looking

Yeah,

The flat head allen bolts I get.. just wondering more on the washers used... they look like a countersunk washer of some kind.  This is the closest that I have been able to find.. just wondered if anyone had something closer : http://www.aboveboardelectronics.com/hardware/washer-WC188.htm

Maybe I will have to give these guys a call and see what they have: http://bokers.com/custom_washers.asp

He can someone tell me what the front tires are for the tumbler. I went to the Hoosier tire catalog it has changed quite a bit from the specifications listed on the first page of this thread. Firstly in picture of the tumbler you can see that on either side the grooves go up up on the left and down on the right. Secondly the tumbler tire only has five squares going across it. The tire listed on the first page has six. Now there is no 94.0/15.0-15 size tire for this tire pattern q which I am pretty sure is the pattern used in the film. So can anyone tell me which tire is the correct one? Thanks.

The picture hoosier has on their site is probably just a wider tire (wider tire=more square). I'm almost certain it's item number 31189 on the hoosier site https://www.hoosiertire.com/specotd.htm the image that comes up for the tread is just a generic pic they use for all the sizes of tires with the "large checkerboard" tread.
