| Small update. I think im gonna try coating down the cardboard with some thick spraypaint, and take it outide tomorrow, if i get paid today. We usually get the first day of the year off here at Budweiser, and if that happens i'm gonna spend tomorrow finishing up the rest of the templates and applying them. HOPEFULLY by the end of the day we will see a finished body, made enterily out of cardboard. Also i will be tarping it up of course, once its outside.

Well, i got some work done, but obviously didnt get it painted  . So i wrapped it up super tight with a tarp, top to bottom, side to side, as well as underneath it. Here is what it looks like so far. If i go with steel, im still gonna finish this cardboard mock up, just because its fun, and its not costing me anything to do it lol.

Hey Dave, great suggestion, if you look over where the driver side fork is suppose to end in those pictures, there is a red can holding down the tarp. That just so happens to be a can of that coating you speak of.

| NOT THE TUNA FISH!!! NNNOOOOOO!!!! ok lol I got a friend of mine, his name is Jason too, looking into tires that might suit what i need for the front end of this monster. Hopefully we will be able to find a set that look right, but are street legal! If not, its ok, we can still bring this creation to car shows, and that would be ok, not as exciting, but ok.

| I thought i would post this for you guys who have a copy of my templates. This is just a quick refference guide for when appling the seporate panels to the cabin. Start with the panel(s) noted by the yellow arrow. Note that this panel runs parallel with the bottom edge of the window. Also note the two lines drawn on the cabin noted by the black arrrows. These lines are perfectly verticle and help show where the panel is to be applied. Panels noted by the blue and red arrows can be applied next, and will arrange themselves according to how the panel with the yellow arrow is applied. If you start this way, the rest of the panels will, in a sense, fall into place. Hope that helps, i'll make more notes, as well as point out errors in the templates as i go along to help you guys out.

 That looks great Shaggy!! Very good idea building it with cardboard first. What a great moc up! It looks like I can pick it up and lay it right on top of my go kart. Keep up the good work. Thanks for sharing.

| Hey Terry, i think it would fit your frame just right. To give you an idea of its size, look in the background. That is my 4x4, a full size '84 Chevy Custom Deluxe. This Tumbler is alot bigger than i expected it to be! I'm gonna have pictures of Eric in his batman costume, sitting beside it here after a little bit. I'll post them just as soon as i can!

| Hi Shaggy, First off, thanks for all the help and suggestions for the start of my build. Your scale model "dune buggy" looks absolutely awesome!!! If you have checked out my latest posts on my tumbler build thread, you will have read that I am bound by the 102in maximum width law in my province to make this beast streetable. I was going to try and find "some way" to scale in a couple inches from the sides and retain the same size tires.. but I think that scaling might throw off the look of the car but I just don't know. Let me know what I need to do as far as proof that I'm not "trolling" to see if I could get my hands on a full measured set of your 3D model that would fit within the 102in width law that I am bound by. I was originally going to order my super swampers and front Hoosiers that were a 1-to-1 scale but I think I should be doing this the other way around. I should instead be figuring out what my scale should be to fit within the 102in law and then the 3D model will tell me the tire size needed to make the scale look right. In my case the scale may be a 98% scale and the 1-to-1 tires might look fine.. but I just don't know, and I don't want to have to go back to the drawing board once I get into it. If I could get my hands on a scaled model with measurements and angles, you would be seeing some progress pics starting within the next week  Thanks for any help you can provide. P.S. Reading through your thread I missed where you mentioned what software you were using for your model
