slight update. I didnt get pictures sadly, but i now have the windscreen and sides of the Tumbler installed, so now it looks something like this. I hope to have the top and panel that goes between the front windows finished by the end of the day today  .

| Shaggy, that is amazing work you do with the computer! I was going to ask you, is this the templates on the full scale under 8-foot or did you make new templates for the 2/3rds scale.

| Entirely new templates, these are ones i special sized for myself, and were not available on the CD i dispersed to the people who requested it. The are of the same drawings, just scaled differently. Update, i was thinking about drive lines today and how i want my son to be taught to drive. I began driving at the age of 4, mostly on automatics, i learned how to drive a manual transmission by studying the mechanics behind it, never by someone sitting in a truck and teaching my how to drive while going down the road. I am now debating if i want to do differently with my son and let him learn to drive this beast with a manual transmission instead of auto. The reason i bring this up is that i am thinking i can stuff a small small block V6 to push the weight of the rear tires, and a 3 speed manual transmission, i have one of those lying around that i have no plans to use in the near future, none of my car builds call for a 3 speed, all call for a 5 speed. So if i take a 4.3, and am capible of mounting it semi in front of the tires, but squeezed between, and tuck the 3 speed tranny between the rear tires, and the differential just to the back of the rear tires, then independant suspension, with shafts going to both rear tires. This set up will allow me to run a hefty engine (for the size of the buggy) but the independant suspension will allow me to tuck it all further back than a solid axle would. Just ideas for now, nothing set in stone. I'll know more of what i want to do once i get some more parts together.

| So a small update, the cabin is finished, i left the roof off so i could jump in and out of it easier when needed for now. The nose peice is on, and i have a few panels mocked up, cut out, and taped to the passenger side. I'm running low on cardboard, so work is going to slow down (but not stop) until i can refurbish my load of cardboard. I dont have my V6 handy at the moment that i'm thinking about using, so i guessed at the size of it, the size of the transmission, and rearend and mocked them up in boxes and stuck them in the car. The whole purpose was to find out where and if the occupants could fit comfortably. Here is a rendering. I was experimenting with the firewall (required by me) and possibly a center console that will act as a shifter mount, a duct vent for the engine to get cool air, cup holders, and a hard surface to step onto when you are entering the vehicle. It is shown in blue. The seats are shown in red. 
My wife came and asked me the other night "Its so big, and its awesome....but how do we get into it?" That might be an issue later on, but that got me to thinking....what about this? 
Mechanically i can make it work. Now i just got to find a way to make it work SAFELY!

| Ok Dave, you really got my head spinning with the idea of a steel body. That never even crossed my mind. Fiberglass was the way i had planned for it to be from the get-go. But now...steel....that would be much less body work since i could get a brake, and just bend the angles instead of fiberglassing, sanding, cleaning up dips with bondo, etc. I walked over to our Ironworks guy next door to my job and asked him to price me 10 sheets of 18gauge steel (4x8 sheets) bc my templates told me that would be enough with one sheet left over for interior work, etc. I havent gotten a price quote yet, but when i do i'll let you know if it would be cheaper than fiberglassing the body. If i do go with steel, that will render any more cardboard mock-up work useless. Thanks for the idea!
