I looked at many pictures of sandrails, dune buggies and the like. i based this setup on that and my own idea, keeping the tumbler in mind. a little tall but I'm tall and so are the kids...all about 6'. the top of my head slightly passes the roll bar...but for the most port, I'm pretty happy with it and can't wait to get the steel tubing (2-3weeks away!!).

Thanks guys! to answer your questions:

Wx - No that's not an iPhone, it's Apples newest device...an iWall.

Shagg - I had to. This lunch food is terrible.

Wx - GIR is a lying Bi***.

Haven't measured lately but it's about 8 feet long tire to tire, frame must be about 3ft wide and height is about 3/12 to 4 feet with 7 or 8 inches ground clearance.

Thanks Justin! Man I wish I had the steel right now to start. Got a couple of bills to pay. For some reason, in these hard economic times, I can't help but think of building a Batmobile (or 2).

I'm reeeealy curious about how heavy the whole thing will be - less the engine. want to be able to do up to AT LEAST 40.  This better do the trick.

laugh at me if you will, but i think it would be cool if you turned that engine where the output shaft was facing the rear, and hooked it to a short telescoping drive shaft, THEN into a golf car rear end .    Gah, i know, gotta complicate the crap outta things, dont i?  But you gotta admit, it would be cool.

Now here's an idea, i'm not sure WHAT models of lawnmoweres out there offer tranmissions seporate of the differential, but i've been told there are some that do, if you could demise a way to get ahold of one of those transmissions, that would give you reverse, and 5 forward gears (on average)  Then simple configure everything to fit behind you.    HECK you could even use the transmission-differental combo if you could find a way to make it work with your suspension hook up!
