Dave & Jack....Shaggy is spot on. The A-Arms will not move. They are for attaching the front wheels and for turning pivots only. Yes...at the time you wrote this, i was in la-la land. and why are you Up at 4:30 am?
Shaggy...you also cracked me up. "dis-assemble, dead. dead, dis-assemble. Dis-assemble?? DEAD??!!" HaHa
I'll be sure to video tape those jumps! Ha Ha!

| OK here's a crazy "A" observation.....hahaha..Those upper and lower control arms are made with the idea that they are going to move and absorb the shock of landing....If you weld them ridgid I feel they will be a weak point in the suspension.....Is there a way you can fabricate the axle to accept the ball joint directly and avoid using the a-arms. Based on my calculations you have a 37% chance of landing without collapsing the front end using those welded on control arms......Jack can I get a back up on this?.....hehehe When you go to jump this I will personally come and film you for U-tube or "Shocking Videos".....BWD

| Thanks Guys! here are the bottom arms cut and bolted on. the cuts will be straightened later. looks primitive but I think will work. (note to self...start with baby jumps...leave the big jumps to big brother! ) 
a close up of the front lower arm. I used more square tubing for mounting the arms. 
...does it come in black?

| I'm halting all work on the front. Dave made a good point about the a-arms. the bottom arms have some bracing but the top arms are 3/4" tubing with a pretty thin wall. I just want to keep working but looking at the mounting options made me think. The rest of the main arms look pretty strong so the cut A-Arms definitlely look like the "weakest link". I'm going to ditch the a-arms and buy new ball joints and fabricate the connection. just have to wait a couple weeks for that. For now I'll think about how to attach the shocks.
...does it come in black?

| After talking to a friend about it I'm now also considering shortening the entire length. As long as I can get an engine mounted and am able to sit in this thing somewhat comfortably. Anyway here's some unrelated, but related pics...can you guess what this is? 
...does it come in black?
