| Here's 1 week later with the steel I'll be using for my bottom frame/chassis. 50 times better than my first attempts, except stick welding round tubing is pretty damn hard.

| Hey Conrad, Looks like big improvements in just a short amount of time. Ok I'm just going to make one suggestions at the risk of irritating you. So take me wih a grain of salt. Look into the possibility of using tubular steel. The reason is the circle of a pipe is so much stronger the square tubing. Yes I agree it is more detailing to cut and fit but the strength of your project is made so much stronger Eighty percent of your time is used in fitting and only 20% is welding. Two people of equal welding abilities can start similar projects but the guy using superior tubular materials and tighter fitting of the pipe will have a tremendously stronger frame. Many dune buggies are made with mild steel tubular frames. They can use mild steel because the use of tubular steel is so strong. Just a suggestion...BWD

Yes it has crossed my mind to use round tubes instead of square. a friend said that if you go to bend a square tube it bends easy due to the straightens of it all. the round tubing does not bend as easy. my square thoughts were brought on by seeing shots of the movie car under construction. I remember you saying that it doesn't have to be exactly like the movie car...yours certainly isn't. in fact, yours looks incredibly strong and protective and your taking so much thought to making it better. alot of your details are definitely eye opening. your making incredible improvements and constructing a very practical machine.
My goal here is to get my rolling chassis done by February. i think that's a good estimate.
So definitely not irritating. i know when to take advice. and i think I'll be taking it now thank you.

| Hey Conrad, I thought at one time about buying a tubular dune buggie frame and modifying it. There's a four seater dune buggie thats called the Expedition. i thought it might have a good base since it was already triangulated. It was like $1500 fully welded on a jig to keep it straight. Check it out at mooreparts.com Then the front and back could be adapted to accept the duallies and front end. Again just another idea....BWD

| Hey I checked that site....no pictures! I called them and "nick" even agreed that it's stupid not to have pictures of ANY chassis you sell. and Yes...way in the beginning stages of my project I contemplated getting a pre-fabbed chassis, however (you knew it was coming right...) the fact that I am capable of doing it myself makes this more of a passion for me and will make the finished result that much more special. the only thing i wont be building myself is the engine and everything that makes the chassis and body move! Please keep the ideas and suggestions coming...I do appreciate them.

OK, howabout you build it for me haha just kidding! I dunno, that's a whole other ballgame, but it does sound fun. Still want that buick V6 though. can you say GNX? all kidding aside...would that be crazy? Using the Turbo V6? Is that engine smaller than a big block 8? is it possible to use for a Tumbler? What about the duallies? am I asking for trouble?
