Can you tell us more about the fin? I assume it's fiberglass, no? That's one thing I was never really clear about how to do. I've seen people mold the two halves seperately and then bond them together with some sort of bonding filler. Is that what you did?

sure. high-temp epoxy resin, glass. same as always, Bob Wanted the fin to be permanately closed up. We we able to cast it as a two parter, then timed it just right, joined it together to get a chemical bond between the two halves. There was flashing all the way around with no dry spots along the seam. This means that internally the piece is chemically locked without gaps, or holes. This is much more sound than doing two halves, letting them cure, then trying to putty the two halves together where there would be no chemical bond.

Okay okay enough is enough. You guys are amazing!!! By my math there should just about be enough left over parts to build me one. I wonder what my wife would think of a wing on her Santa Fe?

I think that was one of their friend's cars, but it was in some of their pictures. Is that your next project?

Bob, or you could just post more here. You know help promote the #1 Batmobile site out there. Bobby as always that is awesome. The wheel cover is beautiful. I think 2007 will be a big year for finishing Batmobile projects. Thanks for sharing with everyone here.
