If anyone has any dimensions for the exhaust/turkey feather assembly, I'd like to see them.  The only dimension I have is for a turkey feather.  Not sure if they are accurate though so I'm open to those as well.  I'm working on Jacks "umbrella" idea...

Mine are very close to yours, I think the large end is a little big on yours. But I could be wrong. I blew up the 1/18 th scale to get these numbers.

Yeah, that's pretty close, thanks...

I'm kind of just figureing this out as I go.  Once I get enough pieces in place I can modify them to work properly....

Looks like it's going to work!  I can slide the small ring in and out and the two feathers with rods attached to them open and close perfectly.  I can't wait to hook up the rest of the parts...

Tim, YES!  I love it.  This is one of the coolest threads ever.  You should even be able to figure out what size actuator to use to.  Probably a very small one would work, say a 1" actuator.  But yeah again this is awesome!!
