Just talked to the builder. Here is what he had to say. Also he is oing to scan the article for us. What to go Ewald!!!

The body is made out of sheet balsa glued together, the frame is just brass tubing cut, fit and soldered together. The engine is a ducted fan used for RC jets. I had this ducted fan and it did not produce enough thrust for the plane I was building and wanted to get some use out of it. At that time batman came out I saw the car and the rest is history. It has forward, reverse and brakes, there is a belt that come off the fan spinner that supplies the power to the rear wheels. The lights work also. I was offered $3500,00 from one of the guys that was touring around with the bat mobile, and I very easily turned it down, It is worth more than that too me.

Check out these shots.

Thats pretty cool, I remember the video on RCG, that car is stupid fast, it lets the rear tires spin pretty quick, but GOD I HATE ducted fan crap, MAN that guy shoulda stuck a turbine in there!

VERY nice build though...

For 3500 I would have sold it and started my "Batmobile body saving fund". Full scale is more fun!
