that is not the first mock up according to the begins DVD. you should check it out.

It looks like it was the first prototype after the fifth model built by Nolan. The model in that pic looks sculpted, not like a kitbash.

That's the same kitbashed model as the other Begins artwork thread pics. It was brought into Mattel by Nathan and a bunch of us took pics and dimensions. It's roughly the same size as the Mattel toy Tumbler and the tires were off-the-shelf RC items. The greyish-white on the model was from talc that was spread all over it to get a clean 3D scan at WB.
All kitbashed, I took that pic btw.

Is that the same car that has the nose off the p38 he used for the jet on the back ? I mean did you hear them say if it was this car ?

Watch the Special Edition Batman Begins. They explain the whole Kitbasked concepts. Here is the progression into what we now call The Tumbler. The picture you posted was the final concept.
