I don't think it would be worth it at all. Every time I see a Bat bike pop up on Ebay the bidding never seems to go much over $5000. If I had it to do over I would have started with a newer bike. lots of bikes out there that still have the "look". The left side kick start is the only real issue and even it can be resolved by starting with a bike with an electric start. I have said it before but I would love to see a newer Chopper version done.

I would build the Chopper and the sculpt new fairings, etc in the 66 style. I did some quick drawing a long while back and thought it would be pretty cool. I'm like most people I have more ideas then time or money. Don't you have a bike?

The drawings are long gone but that would be a great bike to start with. I would do it like Tim is with his go-cart. Start with foam and work from there. I think I would skip the sidecar or make it detachable. I think this could be a great project for you.

Hi Guys,
Jack's bike is pretty close to the 1963 Yamaha YH-350 that is commonly used for Batcycles.
The following photo is of the donor bike we'll be using for a clients Batcycle on the TV show.
Behind it is what I consider to be the last production run of the Yamaha YH. It is a 1981 Yamaha Vision. It's the last sport bike that was made where you are seated in an upright position. It's not a touring bike and it still has the original tank design found on the YH. Very rare bike.
We'll be using BOTH of these bikes to make Batcycles on the show. The newer bike is one I've had around for about 20 years and decided to make myself a Batcycle with. But for the show, and for the fact that I personally don't have a problem with a Lime Green or even and Orange 89 Batmobile, I've decided to jazz (read: Pimp) it up a little bit with Nitrous, street glow and custom paint, lights, chrome diamond plate and chome carbon fibre.
Now the good thing about this is that if I HAD to, I could re-do the bodywork and paint, rip off the pimpwork and turn it into a classic Batcycle. But the bike is too new and no one other than me would appreciate the newer bike. Diehard fans will publicly denounce it at a show so it's no good for that. Buyers won't want the bike because you can tell it's not "an original" so they can't use it.
And...
IT'S MINE!!!!!
So what do I care if it's a little different?!!!
So I'm gonna mess with it so it's more to my liking. Plus... I can show it as a "TunerGirlz Batcycle" from the show and not have a licensing problem with DC. Same as an American Chopper Spiderman Bike.
I've always been an advocate of "IT'S YOUR CAR!!! DO WHAT YOU WANT TO IT!!!" So that's what I'm doing.
Don't make your car or bike for everyone else to appreciate if you don't like it yourself. Justin... Go ahead and trick out your bike, it will look awesome and you'll love it! The rest of you that want to make Batbikes and can't find YH's, use what you can find, use what you like. Only about 100 people on the planet are going to put your pic on a site and say "Look at this guy with his weird Batcycle/Batmobile!"
To them, I say; "Where's YOURS????? Show me yours and then you have a right to comment on someone else's car/bike!"
Do what you love, not what everyone else wants you to.
And Jack, PM me, I'm sure I can locate you some bike parts. But I don't know what the heck "tin" is... Sorry.
"Where does he get those wonderful toys?" He MAKES them you idiot! www.tunergirlz.com www.codeoneauto.com

Great job, Jack! Now you've got me pricing fiberglass and drawing up some concept blueprints...
