I think the jet like canopy makes it difficult to get in and out of the car by stepping on the main intake(Looking from above shot).
Looks like this little piece is for stepping in and out of the car?

This builder was a thinker now. DooHee you must get him on the board. I think the builder and the owner would be nice.

Still looking at this shot.
I just can't see how getting in and out of car is possible with canopy getting in the way like that.

Yes Nitro, it is Dan's builder who did the Carmel car. I got to see all the buildup pics in his album (actually, he had SEVERAL albums of build pics of SEVERAL Keaton cars) but I think there is little chance of getting him on the board. The only thing he did NOT do is the interior... He had built a normal interior, but the owner went nuts with it after taking delivery of the car.
