The batman returns movie magazine i reread recetly says that they shipped the two batmobiles from the first movie to U.S. Had them come in pieces and then reassembled in US and also replaced few parts to U.S parts for easy fixin'.
But didnt' someone say before that the batmobiles never left the UK?
So are they still in UK or in US?

The "U-turn" car and the "Pinewood Cruiser" (two bodies delivered to Pinewood Picture Cars by Jay Ohrberg Star Cars) remain in the UK to this day. Both of these cars were built at Pinewood Studios by their own technicians. It is rumoured that one of these techs was Nathan Crowley, the creator of the Tumbler. It is also rumored that the "U-turn" car is now a fully functional vehicle, or at least a roller at this time. One of these cars may be in the possession of Cars of the Stars Museum in Keswick, owned by Dr. Peter Nelson. One of the builders is shipping a 66 and a Batcycle to the UK this year. Another is rumoured to have already been shipped "Across the Pond". PROOF can be obtained by anyone in the UK who wishes to visit, Pinewood, Star Cars or Cars of the Stars.

The RETURNS cars were built here in the states by Star Cars who became involved in a legal matter with Big Brother Warner during post-production. This is the reason for the special notation in the Returns ending credits "Batski Boat, Duck and Circus Train built by Jay Ohrberg Star Cars Hollywood California."

I thought that Dave said that this is the "U" turn car? This picture was taken by Dave in a WB warehouse. Notice the turbine looks the same and is different then the other cars.

Here is a screen shot of what Anonymous said about the end credits from Returns. Very close. So, no credit for who built the Batmobiles? That's because they were just the 89s repainted gloss black, right?
