I'm curious about the constuction of the shells...
Are major sections cast as a single piece? What I mean is, would the front clip be one piece forward of the 'bonnet latchment'?
Is the fiberglass reinforced with a steel substructure? How thick is it? How do you attach it to the frame? Are there mounting points built into it?

It all depends on if you are asking about the original or a replica?
Replica bodies can be made any way you want them. From what I have seen all of the bodies currently available do not come with any metal brackets or metal reinforcements. It is up to the builder to add those things. Not that hard just time consuming. You (the builder) can decided if you want to mount your car over an existing body or build your own floors, etc. Think of it like this. You just when to the hobby store and bought a model car kit when you got home and opened it the only thing in the box was the body. That's just about what it's like to buy a replica kit.
The bodies also range in thickness depending on the kit maker. Of course as a buyer you can always ask them to add things like brackets, etc but I'm sure you will have to pay for it. Well good luck.
As for the real car I doubt anyone on this board can actually swear to how the real car is assembled. Even our buddy Dave wasn’t allowed to take those types of pictures. And so far it seems that I am the only one who was given clearance to take the underneath shot of one of the WB licensed Jay Orhberg replicas. Although I have given them to several folks like Kevin and Tim. Share and Share alike.

I went to a museum and gave the owner a "Donation". I spend two hour taking pictures of the car. At the time I didn't know it was a replica. I have posted some in the past like the shot of the engine and the one of the hidden speaker. Here is another on of my favorites. The thing I like the most you can see that they used the plywood that separates the cockpit from the trunk area to paint the side mechanics on. Talk about waste not want not.
Now it is your turn. Lets see a Batmobile photo that we never seen.

OK gang lets get ahead of the game with the new Batmobile, The Tumbler. Take lots of pictures and don't be afraid to grease the palm of the guy guarding it. You may get that million dollar shot that no one else has seen. This too belongs in s different thread.
So whom do I not know personally? Baneful, Starlight, and Vman. So who are you guys and girls?

Are you sure this is the right place to post tumbler pics?
I mean do we know if chicks love the tumbler or not?
Since it's more of an SUV/Van, I'd say we post pics of tumbler on www.soccermomslovethecar.com
And Jack, I'm really a nobody.
Just a fan of the car with no prospect of ever owning or building a replica
