Are you regretting ever revealing yourself Dave?

Anyway few questions.

1. The two antenna like things sticking out at top...What're they? Any reason why they weren't replicated for the diecast?

Batmobile

2. Is that a CD player back there? And what are those buttons in between seats for?

Batmobile

3. Finally do you happen to know where the buttons or the control for the windshield wiper is located?

Thanks once again

I know this question is for Dave but I just wanted to chime in since I'm awake anyway. I believe that Onstar added the antennas. They unlike the actuator were not in the movies. So, really they don't belong on the 1/18th unless Mattel does a "Special Edition Onstar version" (YES I would buy it)

The interior pictures you posted are from one of the replicas. The radio is actually a "cassette" tape player. Why was it there and what was it used for? This picture should help answer that. Jet engine sound effects are played to fool onlookers that the car is actually jet powered.

As for the wipers. They are just for looks, non functional so no need for a switch. Dave please corrected me if I am wrong. This info is based on a Jay Orhburg replica.

PS Please tell me you remember Cassette Tapes…..

Jack:

1) You are freakin' amazing.
2) You are up WAY past your bedtime.
3) Cassettes are SOOOO early 90's.

That is obviously a replica, Bruce wayne would not use "Realistic" speakers from Radio Shack...

So tell me, Jack, what are these "Cassette tapes" you speak of?? :confused

Exterior speakers with turbine sounds... That's awesome! Engine recordings from the M1 Abrams MBT would be great for that.

High-quality digital recordings have to exist on the net somewhere. If not I can probable get some if you need 'em.

Yup, Jack's right as always! That top pic is of the Returns car but those interior pics must be a replica. I'll try to find some images of one of the WB Batmobile's interior from roughly the same angles for comparison. Those gauges look off also.

Yes, the wipers did not work which makes me wonder why they look so goofy. I mean wouldn't you want some edgy, bad-ass looking Batblades?

IIRC, those interior shots are from that of the batmobile that was auctioned off by WB at Kruze International.

I remember that was the pheonix auction. Does anyone know who got that car? Or any of them: http://www.kruseinternational.com/results/return.asp?RESULTS=1&MAKE=BATMOBILE&MODEL=&IMGGO.x=23&IMGGO.y=11
