This car will probably make a lot more sense to me after the movie comes out. I am sure I will love it after that. It seems to be growing on me as far as a funcional machine goes. I heard one argument about visibility in the thing.... I have ridden in a Bradley Assault Vehicle. Not much natural visibility there, either. Most of the "eyes" are infrared or night vision cameras around the machine. I am sure this vehicle is similar to that. Of course, I won't even CONSIDER getting this one until I have my '89.

Tim,

No, no...that interior above is from the stunt cars and is for real word driving (along with NOS and extinguisher bottles). The interior in the movie is nothing like that. It's kinda military/futuristic with a very cool transforming seat that takes Batman from a regular seated position to a "crotch rocket" motorcycle position when he's packed in that small area between the front wheels. Then he can fire the machine guns.

I saw some pics of Nathan Crowley's drawings of the interior somewhere...pretty close to production.

Jack, I have a reverse angle (inside) pic of that somewhere. Nothing fancy, just a reversed A arm suspension...I think.

Dave

Dave, it doesn't look like an A-arm set-up it apprears to be a swing arm assembly. I really like the fact that it actually has brakes. The steering set-up looks pretty cool. Just one of those thing it would be nice to see up close. So, talk to you when you get home? Jack

Yeah, I'm finally better! I'll look for some pics of this thing but I don't have much. I'm only guessing at the mechanicals because I never got THAT close to it. I do know that 1 or more of these will on tours to promote the film, and I'm sure afterwards. Anyone try to get a hold of the guy that posted those pics above from the BMW s14.net forum? Those are sweeeet.

Dave, glad to hear that you are feeling better. Has the weather improved? I'll have to get the tour dates and location. If there is one close you can bet I will be there. There is supposed to be a Hot Wheels Collectors Day tomorrow at all K-Mart stores. Know anything about it? Can I find more Batmobiles? Shot me an email when you get home. Jack
