Does anyone know anything about these two cars and why there are so many differences?

Okay, I think I found the answer to what is the accurate version. Yes, I know that I am the only nut out here taking pictures of my TV... But it's not like I really need another excuse to watch Batman again...

Looks like the pipe on the glossy paint job is original at least to the first film. You can see in the picture that the pipe is on the bottom and the grappling hook device is oriented as it is on the glossy car. This is the way my replica will be. If anyone has any more images of this SEND THEM TO ME! Thanks...

I'd still like to know more about the other car if anyone has any info.

Dang,
You've got some nice TV if a camera pic on TV comes as clear like that.

From anonymous source:
"There are two main fibreglass parts in the photos. Those being the "Engine" and the "distributor cap" Those are the only parts that were molded from the original metal parts on the film car. The remaining wires, hoses, heat shields and solonoids have to be purchased from auto supply stores and their availability is not constant. As the "Assembly Manual" is a rare commodity, different builders assemble the same parts in different configurations. The flat black, gloss black, gray, purple/green/gold/black irredesant paint job controversy is something that will go on for years to come and is simply a matter of preference. But the film cars were flat black and all of the show cars were gloss black or purple to attract visitors. On-Star decided to tour their car in gray for a few years and finally yielded to pressure from fans."

Both cars are replicas, the lower car is a Jay Ohrburg built car. I am not shure about the top car, it is possable it is also a Jay car but not certain.

Someone told me that the metal pipes etc were originally a manifold of some sort used in aircraft. I've been searching ebay, aircraft, and turbine websites. Anyone know where any of the components come from?
Thanks!
