Received email asking, what kind of gear box did you use in your elevator? It looks like it came out of some kind of air-cooled car or maybe a motorcycle."

The gearbox was bought from the parts department at an elevator/cargo platform supplier.
It is a double reduction redundant geared gearbox that will not slip or move without power from the motor.

The head assembly has a third added bearing in the center to eliminate any ‘bowing’ that may occur due to the weight distribution during the lifting process.

Spent around 8-hours today installing the elevator controller, associated cables, proximity sensors, roller trigger switches, and wired everything together.

How does an elevator controller work?
An Elevator controller is a system to control the elevator, either manual or automatic. The controller usually tunes down the 240 V voltage to between 12V to 24V to the controlling system, Only the motor needs 3-phase power supply. The low voltage power supply is for the controlling components and the fixtures to control the elevator except the motor mentioned above, they use the single-phase power.

Programmed and linked two wireless remote-control FOBs to elevator control boxed unit.

MODES OF CONTROL

Remote control FOB can call elevator to upper or lower floors or anywhere in between.

Remote control FOB can move elevator only when relevant button is pressed and held down.
Stops elevator automatically in place if button is released.

Remote control FOB can also move the elevator in cycle mode.
Press the control button for a predetermined location once and release it.
The elevator will cycle on its own to a predetermined set point related to the start button.

"Sounds like your almost ready to fire it up!"

Already did.
All systems and remote-controlled functions worked perfectly.
My Batman elevator is fully functional and operational.

I can now enter my Batman elevator from inside my house or my Bat Cave
and travel up and down between the two.

Still thinking about how much I want to disguise the access to my Batman elevator inside my house.

Bat Cave access to my Batman elevator is through a wide door with a sign that says "High Volage".

Note: My Batman elevator has the potential to be setup to extend travel to a maximum of 35 feet upward.
Would only need larger diameter winders, longer cables, spliced longer lengths of I-Beams and a few braces.
