I hadn't seen that Batmobile yet Jimmy. It would be fun to get a group of replica kids cars together  Here is what I have been cussing at for the last few weeks. These are the lower links and springs for the rear end. They will get weight jacks in the brackets so the ride height will be adjustable. 
And I bought some brackets for the axle.

| I learned a little I thought I should share about drilling leaf springs. I spent a lot of time and money getting these done, a typical four link with coils would have been cheaper and faster but this is something I wanted to try so I trudged on. All the drilling was done on a drill press at low speed using oil to lube/cool the work and bits. I first tried hss bits but the springs are just too hard, I could only get up to about a 1/4" hole before the bits gave out. I then tried unibits only getting a slightly larger hole before they too were dull. The unibits did do well on the mild steel parts though. What I found worked best for me on the springs were masonry bits. They have a carbide tip so they worked fairly well but I still went through several of those but at least they are relatively cheap. In all I spent about $200 on drill bits half of that was the unibits which I found out Fastenal will sharpen so at least those aren't a loss. I would suggest anyone wanting quarter elliptical springs to either buy them or hire a shop to drill them for you if you're not properly tooled to do the job (like me). A plasma cutter might work too.

| As Dave likes to say, "we're moving at the speed of smell". So we moved last year and it took a while to get the car moved. Anyhow, it's at the new place now so I can get back at it! Here is the current state.

What PVC are you referring to? I don't have any PVC plastic on the car..

| Can’t believe I’ve never seen this post. I’ve wanted to get back into building my tumbler. This definitely gives me a bit more inspiration. How’s the car coming along now
