Looking good man. Glad to see some progress and looking forward to more...

Is there any particular reason why you went for a square tubing link over a round tube one?
Or was it just a case of you had the materials so you used what you had?

I used square simply due to what i had on hand. Wall is 1/8" so the im building a tank lol. Its definitely going to be heavy.

Been working on the engine lately and have run low on funds so progress is slow but steady. Installed a 670 cfm 4 barrel street avenger carb. Installed an electric water pump to maintain a cooler engine at idle for lack of air flow. I also have a high capacity alternator on the way but i may have to run dual due to the amount of electrical components I'll be installing. We'll see. Im going to start with just one for now.

Ok fair enough.
I thought as much but just wanted to confirm...
Nice addition to the build.
And now you got me thinking about the electric water pump story, has anybody mentioned issues with cooling before or are you just trying to avoid any possible issues in the future?
As i can think that one could spend some time standing still and doing slow drives due to people wanting to take pics or vids...

Thats exactly the reason why. I knew, as soon as i made my designs, that it was going to run hot due to lack of air flow at low speeds. Im going to route the upper vents to blow directly to the engine at speed but needed to keep it cool at idle. The pump will maintain 35 gpm regardless of rpm and im going to install 2 double pass radiators with electric fans for an even cooler water flow. Might be a little overkill but I'd rather not have to deal with overheating if i can help it.

Looks good Dustin, any updates on the build? Where were your going to place the double radiators at?

Had to put the project on hold again for a while due to a surgery. But, i got back into it and just got the exhaust tacked into place. Still needs a few tweaks before i weld it solid, though.

Headers from a 50's ford mounted upsidedown, hollowed out cats, black widow racing muffler, downstream cutouts, and flamethrower kit. All three pipes will be active under normal conditions, and the top two will be shut off when i want to use the flamethrower.

The dual radiators will be mounted one at each side vent. I'm going to use the upper vents to act as a ram air for the intake.

Still having some issues getting the rims i need for the rear end. To those who are tumbler builders, where did you get your rims made? I have a few leads but so far nobody I've spoken too will make them. I may have to resort to building them myself.

It's looking great. Love the flamethrower idea!

YouTube videos show people cutting wheels and making them wider. If you contact some of those people through YouTube, I bet you could mail some wheels to them and they would do it for a price.

The route I'm planning to go is Diamond Racing Wheels https://www.diamondracingwheels.com/ I've been told to talk to Bill, but I'm sure a lot of people there could help you if you give them a call. I've also heard that they're affordable (no promises).

The will to act.
