Ran into a small snag at the moment. Wore out the brushes on the router so now it won't turn on. Have new brushes ordered to replace them. In the meantime I will get some finishing work done on the parts I already have.

Well, if someone asks how long a router will last you will be able to give an answer.
What do you think: 200 hours?

hey sly,
Been a while since I've seen a posting here on your build.
How is your DOJ build progressing.
Any photo-image worthy progress.
Any Batman related Halloween project brewing in your shop?

Let's see if this works. Seems the board is having some difficulties.
It's been a while working on this section because I had some mechanical problems with my router and several distractions in real life. Also, this was the most complex section so far that had a lot of tricks to getting all the compound curves and angles right.
But finally got the next section completed.
This time I was able to get the undercut on the back of the roof line that I didn't get with my last body attempt. Not sure if you can see it in this pic, but take a look.
And the underside of the ram air jet.....
The rear engine vent cutout...……..
View from the rear
One last section to mill for the main body.
btw, During the down time I did manage to carve in the decorative lines on the body so far, put a layer of protective resin on the one section you can see is a different color, and sand off milling tabs and anomalies.

hey sly,
Looking mighty wicked.
Like something from a si-fi movie.
How are your planning to divide up the sections for molding and casting? vertigo

My first thought was to divide it into sections like the original. Front clip, the two doors, and rear clip. But in reality I will have to divide it si the mold can be separate from the part.

Looking stellar sly! Is that with the windshield mod we discussed or do you think there is enough room there to push the dimensions a bit?

No windshield mod yet.
I have finished milling the drivers side rear end, so just need to get the passenger side milled. Going to St. Louis tomorrow for the baseball game. You're probably a Nats fan but sorry, Cards will win.
