| strange question, but i have to ask it for my own behalf. did anyone seal their windsheilds to keep water and the whistleing sound of air out of the cabin? after spending a little time in the autobody industry i have learned a little bit about auto glass, instalation and removal. from what i am seeing in this thread sofar is that it will be quite a challenge to remove the wind shield the way i am seeing it in past posts if anything ever happens to it. polly urathane is what we use or used with a promotion addition on both the glass and meatal; but in this case you would have to use a promotion addition on both the lexon plastic and fiberglass. keep in mind that this stuff sets up real quick you only have a few minuets to work with it. when you spread it spread it in a triangular pattern to help with adheashion. think thats about it but if somthing else comes to mind i will add it later. by the way i am not trying to bad mouth what i saw just trying to give a little information on what i have experienced.

| Yes I dont think windsheild glue will hold on lexan. I do think it will work as a cushion to stop vibrating and maybe water, if you have a clamping system to hold it in place. Jack and Kevin may know about this from the aircraft canopys, or know of something better . I always like reading your posts, you seem to know quite a bit about autobody and your passion for the batmobile really comes through.

I used two layers of rubberized 2" wide automotive weather strip this will give you a nice lip for the lexan and will reduce rubbing and keep the mount holes from stress cracking. Use self-locking nuts and tighten until the rubber starts to compress, do not tighten down all the way as this will cause warpage and possible cracking in the lexan.
It is relatively easy to seal out the windows. I use the same method as I did with Fighter and civilian aircraft.
You can get B1/2 from any aircraft repair center, but it is expensive, 50 to 60 dollars a tube. Once mixed in the tube you have to use it any unused amount will harden in the tube.
Tape off the side of the canopy, you don't want sealant on the canopy. Then tape off approximately 1/8" of the glass area from the fill edge. Mix the B1/2 and apply to the exposed edge. You can spit on your fingers and sooth in the compound to give it an even look; it is as simple as that.

| To properly mount the glass drill and location hole in the center of each window panel. Use clecos to hold the glass in place and drill from the center to the outer edges. This will alleviate buckling in the lexan panels. I removed the Clecos and counter sunk each of the holes and scuffed each of the stainless steel screw heads so that the glass would stick to it.

I am not at this point on the build yet, I am still waiting on my body lol. But the information on here is great, and I do plan on taking some tips from different peoples views on this topic.
