You may want to think about just fitting the wheel with the steel backing plate to be your 5 bolt flange to bolt up on whatever quick release hub needed for the final column shaft is used. Then you arent stuck with a hub wleded to the wheel with a set spline.

Did a search online for knurled knobs.
Found two pieces that could probably be stacked together to make knobs.
After studying the steering wheel for quite a while, all in all, the prop people who built the steering wheel prop appear to have done a pretty poor job of it. Sliders and knobs seem so 1950s. vertigo

I could see one of your knurled selection definitely being used on top of another audio knob with an allen key retainer screw in there... but I couldn't disagree more on the prop dept. comment.
This batmobile has brought the best aspects of all previous mobiles together and left behind most of the crappiest design decisions. Take the cockpit alone... many of the needed functions for quick access are put onto the F1 type steering wheel, and using easy grab big flat switch tabs and knurled turning knobs is key while wearing gloves. Most other switch-gear is toggle with U-shape guards for quick no-brainer access to their functions. Everything within easy reach and direct front visibility as in a fighter jet too.
If you look at the Tumbler cockpit for comparison, it is so insanely complex, with 3 monitors just for your far peripheral left alone to deal with... there's no way to quickly determine and react to threats AND successfully drive that tank at any speed.
It's like the prop dept. put the Tumbler and the 89Batmobile in a love motel room together and this BvS was the offspring... designed around F1 formula car proportions for nimbleness, and an F16 Falcon cockpit with just a dash of KnightRider KITT thrown in there. To me it has been the most thought out Batman ride to date. There are some slight changes I'd have done for real world functionality sake (like scaling to 80% to fit down normal streets or alleys) but overall it's an excellent execution.
F16 cockpit
The purposeful design was then taken through the the batwing with an Apache helicopter cockpit feel...
and into the batcave controls to remotely drive all the vehicles if needed...

I have to agree with THEMAN on this one. It's also evident in the exterior. A combination of the smooth curves of the '89 and the sharp angles of the Tumbler. The DOJ was pretty well designed.

hey THEMAN and SLY,
Didn't mean to offend anyone.
I was only referring to the knobs and sliders not the whole DOJ/Justice League Bat Vehicle.
I like all the Bat Vehicles and the Tumbler and DOJ/Justice League are my two favorites.
And anyway, it doesn't matter what anyone thinks about any of the Bat Vehicles.
They are all what they are and they are all inclusive of the true elements of their reality.
The elements of any "Movie correct" Bat Vehicle are a fixed reality not subject to change.
When we make any changes to the movie correct Bat Vehicles we change or skew their reality.
It is simply a matter of how much skew we are willing to accept. vertigo

hey THE MAN and Sly,
Spent a couple of hours studying and measuring the Thrust and photo images of the movie correct steering wheels.
Currently planning to machine the center piece as one unit. Maybe stainless steel instead of aluminum.
What is the outside diameter of the center hub (Rizome motorcycle clutch cover)? I calculate 3-inches.
Face diameter. I calculate 2.5-inches.
Inside diameter. I calculate 1.5-inches.
Ring thickness. I calculate 1/2-5/8 thick.
What size hex wrench fits the middle part hexigon. I calculate 3/8"
What is the Hub color? Black
Has either of you acquired the Rizome motorcycle clutch cover or center piece?
If so would either of you mind measuring and sharing the above dimensions? vertigo

hey THE MAN and Sly,
Spent a couple of hours studying and measuring the Thrust and photo images of the movie correct steering wheels.
Currently plan to machine knurled knobs from 3/4" aluminum bar.
The base of the knurled knob you see on the movie correct steering wheel is the raised base of the switches on the plastic Thrust steering wheel and measures .660" in diameter.
I calculate the taper and knurled portions of the switch to measure .500-.750" in length.
I calculate the knurled portion as .375" (3/8') in diameter and 3/16" in length.
Do you agree or do you have different measurements? vertigo

vertigo (11/19/2018) hey THEMAN and SLY,
Didn't mean to offend anyone.
I doubt any of us are offended vert, just stating a POV on why I think the prop department did a fine job of it on this one... We are all grownups building big ole play toys anyway, so it would be crazy to take things too seriously.

hey THEMAN and SLY
Finished stripping the Thrust of switches and posted two photo-images here of the stripped steering wheel and removed switches. Definitely going to machine the knobs.
Note: I did observe that the slider switches are located on the movie steering wheel where the gage indicator pointers are located on the Thrust.
Have ordered the sliders from Ebay and they appear to protrude the same distance as the knobs. vertigo
