Received an email today reminding me that I had forgotten to mention Batman comic book cover art collecting.

It has become very popular in multiple categories over the past 25-yers to collect just the cover art from Batman related comic books. All major categories a readily found on the internet. Real bargains can be found on eBay and lesser deals on Amazon. Prices range from 10.00 to tens of thousands.
Forgot to mention that www.etsy.com has more than 250 pieces of Batman related art for sale.
You can also track thousands of pieces through bing images.

Category One: These collect only printed original covers from Batman relate comic books. Many of these are original comic book front covers that were separated from most or all of the original complete comic.
Price range: 8.00 to tens of thousands.

Category Two: Cover reproductions that are the same size and colors as the original Batman comic.
Price range: 10.00 to 300.00 with most starting in cost at 200.00 matte mounted in frames.
Appear frequently on eBay/Amazon

Category Three: Cover reproductions that are enlarged in size (usually around 2 x 3 - 3 x 5) in two major divisions. Art and color stay close to comic original or detail is sharpened and colors enhanced and vibrant.
These look great with a few inches of matting in chrome and/or matte black frames.
Price range: Real quality begins at around 500.00 mounted in frames and prices may climb to a couple of thousand.

Here is a category I have not mentioned yet.
Batman Wall Paper Art.
Here is an example from eBay
An amazing portrait of the Joker, Batman's nemesis in the film "The Dark Knight". He is a psychopathic criminal who tries his utmost to rid the world of all rules and regulations. His mouth is disfigured by scars which leave him with a grotesque perma-grin. Nobody really knows who the joker is, or where he comes from. This image of the joker, portrayed by Heath Ledger, looks as if it is painted and shows his face in full make-up with his typical stare. Heath Ledger was honoured with an Oscar posthumously for his portrayal of the Joker. Beautify your rooms with this breath-taking motif by GREAT ART®. You know, I'm not keen on any of the bat suits from those three movies, especially the cowls. My favorite suit by far is the Arkham Knight video game suit.

I agree.
I have often thought about what would make an excellent Batman movie.

I think the Arkham Knight Batman would make an excellent movie Batman.
And, if they also wrote a good script well grounded in the real world without all the BS extreme powers beings they would have an outstanding film. Right now they have slipped too far past the plausible into the unbelievable. I guess they forgot that the audience wants to see Batman and his Batmobile.

DC could learn a lot for future Batman films from revisiting the Christopher Nolan films.
At least, the first two films anyway. The audience accepted that most of what happen in these films could be relatively possible. I can only hope that they do a much better job with the stand alone Batman movie. vertigo

I agree, and blame the direction of DC films on the direction Marvel films have taken recently. There are complaints that Batman is too dark blah, blah, blah. Well guess what, Batman is dark, deal with it.
