I placed a copy of this post here for the possible benefit to anyone
planning to and/or actually building a Bat Vehicle.

Donor Vehicle Preparation

Part Three

Preparing a donor vehicle that will be significantly integrated, into
a Bat vehicle. The donor vehicle will most likely contribute 30-40% of these types of Bat Vehicles.

As such, you will need to purchase some maintenance and repair manuals for your embedded donor vehicles.
I bought the Haynes and Chilton's manuals for my DOJ/Justice League Batmobile donor today for 60.00 delivered.
Some may also want to purchase the related factory repair manuals as well.
Many of these can be found at Amazon and eBay for 25-100.oo. vertigo

Here is an excellent web location that illustrates many building techniques including life size milled foam Bat Vehicles. Very worth a visit with lots to see.

sly,
"Wow, you have done some impressive work Vert. Are you saving any of the parts for resale?"

Thanks for noticing and the kind words.

Saving doors, hood, bumper, etc. for resale.

After establishing a well defined set of parameters and studying many different possible donor vehicles for many hours and through a final process of elimination I settled on the Dodge 3500. I am still convinced the Dodge 3500 or similar Ford 350, etc. is still the best fit donor for the DOJ/Justice League reduced scale street legal build and the full-size as well. Unless someone is going to build a movie correct vehicle.

For me, I concluded that my donor should be bought complete and intact for this build.

The process of stripping down the 3500 and spending time in it's presence has been quite stimulating, revealing, and inspirational and has contributed significantly to my eclectic mental picture of the DOJ/Justice League Bat Vehicle. vertigo

Here is an excellent photo-image of the DOJ Batmobile that a foam duplication company claims to be able to manufacture in foam and deliver for 12,000.oo anywhere in lower 48 US states. Anyone know anything about the DOJ Batmobile depicted in the photo-image. Is it the real Bat Vehicle or a foam replica? vertigo

There are a number of toy and model dealers, as well as quite a few individual owners, that have this RC in their collections, myself included, that believe the scaling ratio works out better when compared to the movie correct vehicle as a 1:12 than a 1:10. Can start with the Batman figure included that is 6-inches tall. That makes him a 1:12 in my opinion. Makes a good display model and the price has fallen to as low as 129.00 on Amazon due Mattel's screw up with using a phone app to steer instead of the familiar hand held controller. vertigo

Received an email asking what tools did I use to strip down my DOJ/Justice League Batmobile donor vehicle.

Heavy leather welding gloves. (razor sharp edges are everywhere when cutting donor sheet metal.)
Dewalt 20 volt battery tools.
Compact reciprocating saw and around 40 bi-metal blades
1/4 " drill driver with screwdriver set that includes torx tips
3/8 " Impact driver (out standing tool - removing bolts nuts fasteners took about 1% of conventional hand wrench and ratchet time.)
A good size mirror attached to a length of plastic pipe.
English and Metric sockets with conventional and deep-well sockets
Crowbar and a small pry bar
Utility blade knife (lots of insulation and plastic sheeting)
NOTE: My Dodge 3500 was built in a Mexico plant and most every fastener, bolt, and nut is metric.

I saw Costco also had the 1:10 RCs for super low $80 last month, but don't see them on the site anymore... I already had one, or would've jumped all over that deal. I don't have issue with the phone RC app, and frankly think it's pretty fun to see the in car camera view of you blowing stuff up on the phone, and the one finger direction/throttle control option is pretty decent.

"Excellent Vert. You should post this info in Theman's resource thread as well for someone in the future looking for information."

Good idea sly.
I will repost these postings in the relevant build areas for future BvS DOJ / Justice League batmobiles. vertigo

You can also reach maybe a thousand high resolution photo galleries by following the associated links.
Such as the one displayed here as an example.
The most valuable I have found are selling leasing rights to high resolution images.
Since you are just viewing the images and not trying to lease the high resolution images it does not cost you anything and most are fully downloadable in their high resolution formats such as the one I attached to this post.
