Happy Thanksgiving ALL ! I'm new and this is my first post. What an awesome site and very impressive work by everyone on your respective builds !

I'm planning on building a Tumbler replica. I understand the configuration of the frame, however I've been unable to locate a source which depicts all of the body panels SEPARATELY. I've been building custom vehicles for many years, but the Tumbler has numerous overlapping body panels and they're difficult to figure out...at least they have been for me, lol !

I work in fiberglass and not metal when I build custom bodies. I don't have access to metal bending brakes, etc., so it would be easier for my skills to make them out of polyurethane foam panels and glass over them.

Can anyone assist me with regards to how each body panel is configured with photos, diagrams ? I would like to do my build with the gull-wing style doors as opposed to a top entry hatch.

Thank you

Welcome to the forum.
The quickest way tp get a good general grasp on the Tumbler is to buy a model.
A Hot Wheels Elite 1/18 die cast metal Tumbler goes for around 150.00 on Amazon.
The best model available is the Hot Toy's 1:6 Tumbler.
There is also a ton of information on this site.
Read the builds and study the pictures from start to latest post or finish.
Pretty much 90+% of everything you need to build a Tumbler is on this site.
Start your Tumbler build and post why you want to build a Tumbler.
Continue posting about your planning, research, build working area, and progress with lots of photos.
Hope to see you start your build soon. vertigo

Vertigo,

Thank you for welcoming me to the site and forum, and thank you for the Tumbler toy/die-cast information. I own one of the Hot Wheels 1:18 Tumbler die-casts that you mentioned. I will study the Tumbler builds posted here and access my plan of action and how I'm going to execute my build as I gather more information and post it.

I have also seen the Tumbler Paper Model Kits and thought perhaps their flat body panels would help me identify which panel lays-over another.

Thanks again

I use the 1/6 scale. It’s hard to get some measurements but you can just guess some bits and get it pretty close
