hey sly and WAR Machine,
Thanks for the kind words.
Still have a lot of welding to do on the four rear dually steel
wheels. Also will need to cut safety rings from 3/8-1/2 inch thick
plate to add some extra support to the protruding dually centers. vertigo

Placed a copy of this post here for the potential benefit to those
planning to/and/or/ building a Bat Vehicle.

“Hi Vertigo its actually just a large co2 fire extinguisher. I
extended the hose from the extinguisher which sits beside me in car. I
bought a cheap set of recovery flashing strobes and wired them into
the centre of afterburner. I simply switch on strobes then squeeze
handle of extinguisher. Still looks decent at day time as stobes are
very bright.”
reference material:
In Hollywood TV/Film and music/dramatic stage shows CRYO LED CO2 JETs
are used quite frequently. I have attached photo images of the
“INDUSTRY STANDARD” for this special effect. Note: Look closely at the image of the CRYO LED CO2 JET. Note the LED arrays located at the base of the nozzle.
In the world of special effects the Industry Standard refers to: A
technical standard used in technical contexts. Most special effects
companies have a go to reference library. So, if a director said I
need a cold flame jet effect they would usually start by referencing
the relevant Industry Standard(s). vertigo

Converting my drum brake system on a GM 14 Bolt axle to use disk brakes.
Step 4 Thread Clean Up
Most used axles purchased on line or in junk yards will have damage to
the lug nut axle hub insert bolt threads. Most of the time, the
damaged threads (mostly dented threads) can be touched up with a die.
I used a 9/16 x 18 die to clean up the bolt threads on my Tumbler’s GM
14 Bolt axle. It took a little less than 1-1/2 hours to run all 16
bolts through the die. Cost of die 10.oo. If I had bought new lug nut
axle hub insert bolts they would have cost me 96.oo + 12.oo shipping
108.oo total cost.
108.oo – 10.oo die = 98.oo saved
Basically, I saved/earned 1.oo per minute by cleaning up the threads
on the old bolts.

Have completed approximately 70% of welding on three of the dually steel wheels and 90% of the welding on the fourth. Did a trial fit up mounting today. vertigo

Was using a Scale Conversion Calculator today and thought that maybe others might be able to benefit from it's use as well.
Here is something that you might find invaluable when using scale
models to build Bat Vehicles. Will save you vast time and headaches
from making scaling calculation errors.
Go to Wikipedia
Search: LIST OF SCALE MODEL SIZES
Here you will find virtually every scaling relationship and common
uses, related to each scale and their reference by: RATIO, INCHES per
foot, and MILLIMETERS.
Scroll down to the end of this list and under the ADDITIONAL RESOURCE
section and you will find a click on link to a SCALE CONVERSION
CALCULATOR.
Under the SCALE CONVERSION CALCULATOR you will find three, very easy
to use, plug in the variables, conversion calculators.
CONVERT FROM REAL-LIFE TO SCALE
CONVERT FROM SCALE TO REAL-LIFE
CONVERT FROM ONE MODEL SCALE DIMENSION TO ANOTHER SCALE DIMENSION
