Comparison of Quarter and Sixth Scale Batman Related Figures

A picture is worth a thousand words.
The attached photo images speak for themselves.

Quarter scale is quite impressive but only if the detail is great.

Should at least be equal to and preferably greater than that found on
the most detailed available 1/6 figure.

Who could not desire to own Bat Vehicles in 1/4 scale? Unless 1/3 1/2
or 1:1 were available.

There has been talk among collectors for the past few years on their
wish lists for 1:1 scale Bat Vehicle replicas. Most agree it is
probably not likely to happen with an average likely 10,000.oo price
tag. Simply not enough buyers in the market with 10,000.oo to spare.

(Probably, this idea has also met with a lot of resistance from DC/WB
since they would be ready made to be used in fiberglass mold making.)

Current trend among collectors is mostly 1/6 with a few 1/4.

This is mostly driven by available space and figure availability in
each scale.   vertigo

I got my Hot Wheels 1:18 Elite Batman v Superman Batmobile yesterday..
The detail is outstanding and plentiful. The big rear wings are fully articulated. Hydraulic cylinder rods and steering move. Very nice addition to my Hot Wheels 1:18 Elite Bat Vehicles collection.
No regrets on buying this model. vertigo

Elements of the 1941 Batmobile still appear popular with children.

Placed a copy of this post here for the potential benefit to those
planning to/and/or/ actually evaluating, buying, building Bat Vehicle
models.

Here is something that you might find invaluable when evaluating,
buying, and building scale models of Bat Vehicles. Will save you vast
time and headaches from making scaling calculation errors.

Go to Wikipedia

Search: LIST OF SCALE MODEL SIZES

Here you will find virtually every scaling relationship and common
uses, related to each scale and their reference by: RATIO, INCHES per
foot, and MILLIMETERS.

Scroll down to the end of this list and under the ADDITIONAL RESOURCE
section and you will find a click on link to a SCALE CONVERSION
CALCULATOR.

Under the SCALE CONVERSION CALCULATOR you will find three, very easy
to use, plug in the variables, conversion calculators.

CONVERT FROM REAL-LIFE TO SCALE

CONVERT FROM SCALE TO REAL-LIFE

Here is an excellent example of significant 3D abstract skewed sculpture.

Amazon

Cryptozoic Batman '66 Classic TV Series: '66 Batmobile Statue

The Batmobile featured in the 1960s Batman TV show is still one of the
most iconic throughout the franchise. This statue combines the
legendary '66 Batmobile with the hot-rod/Kustom Kulture art of the
1960's popularized by Ed "Big Daddy" Roth for a dynamic
interpretation. This poly-resin statue stands approximately 8-1/2"
tall and is impressively hand-painted. Designed by Dennis Jones and
sculpted by Stephan Ell.

Here is a really nice action oriented 1966 for 100.00
The action orientation of this sculpture makes it particularly desirable.

Received a personal email asking, “When did action-oriented sculpted
pieces become more desirable to collectors?”

Up to around 500 BC most sculptures of human, animal, vehicle, and war
figures were static, fixated, rigid, frozen, and formalized.

The wide spread concept of action-oriented representation began with
the Classical Greek bodies that portrayed real anatomical structures
in tensioned fluid detail, sculptures come to life, in dynamic
postures and activities.

Action-oriented representational sculpture endures to the present day
as the most sought after artistic form. (2500+ years)

Why? Because it provides a focus that pulls the viewer to project them
self into a point, not frozen, but merely paused in time, awaiting and
anticipating, an instant re-animation at any moment.

If you want sincere praise, gratitude, and compliments from those that
view your Batman related collections then add action-oriented figures,
sculptures, paintings, and other art.

Static, fixated, rigid, frozen, and formalized figures will only bring
you bored and insincere praise without genuine appreciation. vertigo

Another Batmobile added to my collection
Put my name on a reservation list a few months back and it arrived
today. Have not had a chance to examine it in detail yet but will post
detailed and comparative photo-images after I find the time to look at
it more closely this weekend.

I have seen and handled a couple of R/C B v S DOJ Batmobiles but
passed on buying because scaling and details were blurred and
incorrect.

Mattel promised that scaling, details, proportions, are sharp,
accurate, and movie correct. Photo-images from Mattel appear to
support their claim but only after I examine mine this weekend will I
be able to say this is true for sure.

Found a few hours today to examine my Mattel 1:10 scale RC Justice
League Batmobile.
Upon opening the box one is immediately struck by the presence, sharp
lines, and details of this Justice League vehicle. Just on these looks
alone the 250.00 price tag seems very reasonable.
I have no regrets on this purchase.

Took some measurements of the vehicle. Starting with the Batman figure
that measured 6-1/2 inches tall. That translates from scale to a human
size of 5' - 5" tall. The Batman figure should be 7-3/16" tall to be
in a proper scale relationship. The vehicle wheel base measures 15
inches and scales out to a 150" real vehicle wheel base. Specifics on
the real DOJ / Justice League Batmobile list a 173" wheel base. Other
pieces are skewed as well. Read some of the online literature that
describe it as 1:10 scale but does not call it a scale model. Good
play on words. Movie correct description is not exactly accurate but
in this case from an eclectic perspective everything looks right. The
cannon seems out of place but after removing everything else blends
well except for the side mechanics which are very shallow.
Compared this vehicle with Mobieus, Jada, Hot Wheels elite, and
photo-images of the Hot Toy's 1:6 DOJ Batmobiles.
SUMMARY:
Mattel 1:10 scale  RC Justice League Batmobile: Excellent RC and
display piece but not that good for a true movie correct build.
The Hot Toy's 1:6 DOJ or final rendition will be the best for a movie
correct build.
Of the scale models currently available, the Hot Wheels Elite 1:18 DOJ
appears to the most accurate scale model and has the best detail and
mechanics. vertigo
