This is an old post reposted that is still relevant to the design,
planning, and building of Bat Vehicles.

The best book I have found on automotive performance welding.

Welding is an essential skill for the avid car enthusiast, car
builder, and fabricator. Engines, exhaust, intake, suspensions,
frames, all can be welded for repair and fabrication purposes. While
many introductory or entry-level welding books are available on the
market, this is the first book to comprehensively cover advanced
techniques, complex joints, advanced processes, and working with a
variety of materials, including aluminum, Chrome-moly, stainless
steel, carbon steel, titanium, and magnesium. Using the techniques
revealed in this book, you can fabricate body panels, frames, and any
number of structural and functional automotive components, and perform
structural repair. Welding projects found in this book include welding
the tubes of roll cage for strength and safety, welding sub frame
connectors for improved chassis rigidity, repairing an aluminum frame,
creating a seat support on a rod, welding in a floor pan, fabricate
body panels, frames, and any number of structural and functional
automotive components, and perform structural repair. Welding projects
found in this book include welding the tubes of roll cage for strength
and safety, welding sub-frame connectors for improved chassis
rigidity, repairing an aluminum frame. With this book, beginner to
intermediate skill-level welders will be able to improve and complete
more advanced projects.

Batmobile in ‘Justice League’ from Mattel’s badass replica
By Chris Begley on February 18, 2017
Remote controlled Batmobile from Mattel.
"Mattel says their new Batmobile toy is an exact replica of what fans can expect to see in Justice League, so it looks like Batman’s added a lot more fire power to his car. The toy will be available this summer for $250 and is pretty high tech! It has a real exhaust where smoke will come out of, plus a built in camera so you can see footage on your phone as you control the Batmobile remotely. It even includes a Batman figure."

Something to seriously consider when designing, planning, and building
a Bat Vehicle.
Been spending a lot of my time looking for the right rear axle and
wheels. The most important thing that I have learned from searching
for the right wheels and axles is that the most common heavy duty axle
and wheel bolt pattern is 8 on a 6.5" bolt circle. Almost every
factory steel wheel is available in this bolt pattern and it is the
most common bolt pattern found on axles from 250, 2500, 350, 3500,
etc., etc., pickup trucks. vertigo

Update on Batman v Superman DOJ Bat Vehicle build attempts.

Since you are reading this you already probably have some level of
desire to build a Batman v Superman DOJ Bat Vehicle. But, do you have
the mental endurance to go with that desire? My research shows 1/2 of
1-percent 0.05% of those who proclaim the start of a Bat Vehicle build
will actually finish their build. From my observation it looks like
the average build takes around four years to complete. Don't have many
skills and little money? You can still get over halfway on a four year
Batman v Superman DOJ Bat Vehicle with as little as 1,000.00 spent over the first two
years. That's about 44.oo a month. That should be enough to complete the 1:1 scale wood mockup.
There are currently five build attempts going on to build the Batman v Superman DOJ Bat Vehicle and
one completed build in Ecuador. Two are on this site and three others have proclaimed the start of builds
but have not posted any progress as yet.

I'll have to add up my receipts but I'm afraid it's going to be over 1,000.00 so far.

I am looking at starting a build as my tumbler is getting close to finish. I reckon start to finish 6 months top as it seems easier on an engineering aspect than the tumbler was. However i would love to do the chasis running car and pinch / borrow slys wooden body to fibre glass over .

There's a pretty good chance I'm going to make molds for parts of it. What I do with the molds after I'm done with them is up in the air.

Placed a copy of this post here because it may be of use to others planning or building a Bat Vehicle.
Here is a diagram of the 4-link suspension and truss setup I will be using to set up my GM 14 bolt rear axle.

I placed a copy of this post here because building a DOJ Bat Vehicle would most likely involve numerous types and sizes of hemi-joints.
This is it, a pair of 1 1/4" Heat Treated Chromoly Rod Ends with all the trimmings! You get two 1 1/4" Heims with a 1" through bore, 4 zink plated misalignment spacers with 30 degrees of misalignment, a pair of zink plated jam nuts and the pair of weld in tube adapters to go with them. Not one is threaded LH and the other RH.
KIT INCLUDES: •2--1 1/4" Heat Treated Chromoly Heims
•2--1 1/4" Tube Adapters (1.5" Tube ID)
•2--1 1/4" Jam Nuts
•4--Misalignment Spacers (For 2 5/8" ID Brackets)
