Interesting idea to use a cement mixer for the after burner. I look forward to seeing that develop.

A friend up by my garage makes various items of garden furniture out of gas bottles and oil drums, he also makes log burners and definitely has some very creative skills. He thought that it would be better to cut up an existing item that was already a similar shape. A better and quicker way than starting from scratch.

Yes it was a brand new cement mixer barrel for the shape and it is having a face lift and bits added to it to make the afterburner. Will have to bring fake suspension struts in a bit to look correct.

So as I am getting held up in my project waiting on people to finish suspension arms and things I am thinking of using some ready available tie rods for my project to attach to the hubs. These would be instead of the bronze short ones in all the pictures however they will be bronze what do we all think pros , cons ?

So after a night in the garage I now have the radiator and water system plumbed in and working. The exhaust fitted and the fan wired to switch. Car runs idles breathes and makes a really meaty powerfull sound. Finally got my suspension mounting plates, my steering bars back and mounted through the pillow block bearings. So exciting times perhaps a test drive next week. And if anyone wants to come and help me your very welcome lol.
