This may be of interest to anyone looking for a donor vehicle for this build.
The production team actually built three different batmobiles.

The production notes describe the real Batmobile was "too valuable to be crashed into walls or flipped over," so there were actually three of them. One has a full interior cockpit, with the distinct, stylized exterior. The other were "stripped-down Dodge Ram Duallys" that the effects team would later digitally reconstruct as the Batmobile. The simpler versions, called "proxy" cars, were used solely for stunt driving, while Affleck drove in the more valuable "real" Batmobile. “All I was allowed to do was pull up and stop,” Ben Affleck said in film's production notes. “I wanted to do all the crashing and shooting, but that car cost too much.”

So I figure this is the best place to post this given the topic. I just finished watching the special features section on the build of the Batman V Superman Batmobile. For those of you who dont know, the Digital HD was released today. The actual Bluray does not come out until 7/19 I think. If you buy the "extended Cut" version on iTunes it comes with all of the special features. I have to say I was very very impressed with it. Compared to the others, this in my opinion was the most detailed "making of". It runs approximately 22 minutes and there are numerous shots and video of the actual build and alot of the testing and issues they had when it was still a raw roll cage. Im sure for the right person who attempts this build there will be a great deal of helpful information once paused, frozen screen shotted etc. Something I thought was interesting, during the credits they show a shot of the guys sitting in a 2x4 frame mock up! I thought it was cool to see even with millions of dollars and computer design etc, that they still made part of it out of wood just like a lot of us on here!! Hope you guys get to watch it and enjoy it as much as I did!

How times have changed.

It was 11 years ago when new special edition DVD was coming out for 1989 Batman and was supposed to include Making of Batmobile and we were all anticipating some side mech details. Now everything is digital.

I remember getting it from Best Buy during my early lunch break.......

Hello everyone,
Was looking at the Hot Toys release schedule at OSR (onesixthrepublic.com)
http://www.onesixthrepublic.com/2014/09/upcoming-releases-hot-toys-schedule.html
If one goes by the Hot Toys release schedule, there is no release of a 1/6th scale Batman vs Superman bat mobile scheduled for release through FEB-2017. The cost for this model estimated across the internet ranges from a very low 800.00, low at 1000.00, high of 2,500.00, and very high at 8,000.00. Some collectors say that the 2500-3000.00 price range may not be all that unrealistic of an expectation if one looks at the 1/6th scale market and the history of Hot Toys past and present high-end releases. But, who really knows.

If this is true, then for those thinking about using the 1/6th Batman vs Superman bat mobile from Hot Toys as an aid in building a replica life-sized vehicle, will probably have to wait to sometime in late 2017 or 2018 and maybe be willing to pay 3,000.00. Hopefully not. vertigo

Well, since the movie has been paned a lot I wonder if they will follow through with production. Also, 1:18 Hot Wheels release has been pushed back at least twice and still no pictures of it available anywhere, so I wonder if that will even come out.

Justice League

Posted June 21 2016 — 10:44 AM EDT

Ben Affleck is currently smack in the middle of filming his second turn as Batman, reprising his role as the Caped Crusader in Zack Snyder’s upcoming Justice League movies. But although he’s hard at work on Justice League, he’s already thinking about Batman’s next adventure.

Speaking to a group of reporters on the set of Justice League, Affleck gave an update on his upcoming solo Batman movie, which he will both direct and star in.

“I think they have a date for [release],” Affleck said, via Collider. “Although, I don’t know if I would necessarily be able to make that date because I don’t have a script that’s ready yet. … My timetable is I’m not going to make a movie until there’s a script that I think is good because I’ve been on the end of the things when you make movies when you have a script that’s not good yet and it doesn’t pan out.”

Affleck added that he’s in no rush to get his Batman to the screen, preferring to take the time to perfect the script (which he’s working on with DC’s Geoff Johns).

“I have a script, we’re still working on it, and I’m not happy enough with it yet to actually go out there and make a Batman movie, for which I have the highest of standards, I would say,” Affleck said. “That’s something that would have to pass a very high bar for me. It’s not just like, ‘Yeah, that might be fun, let’s go try this out.’”

The upcoming Justice League movie, which is set for release on Nov. 17, 2017, unites Affleck’s Batman with Gal Gadot’s Wonder Woman, Jason Momoa’s Aquaman, Ezra Miller’s Flash, and Ray Fisher’s Cyborg, plus J.K. Simmons as Commissioner Gordon.

Estimated release for Batman solo movie is late 2018 to 2019

Here's a little more info on Batman's future,
When first looking at the rumored line-up for DC Comic's building cinematic universe, it's hard not to notice the surprising lack of Batman. Over the last 25 years or so - and especially in the last 10 - DC has leaned on the Dark Knight like no other hero in their stable, but if the revealed schedule turns out to be true, then the next four years are going to be completely lacking in solo Caped Crusader movies. It's one of the elements that has made many call the "leaked" title roster into question, but if a new rumor is to be believed then we won't have to wait too much longer for the next Batman movie.

Sources have told the folks over at Comic Review that in addition to movies like Shazam, Sandman, Justice League, Wonder Woman and more coming out over the next four years, we can also expect a new solo Batman movie some time in 2019. Reportedly the working title of the project is The Batman, though obviously at this early stage that could change in a heartbeat, and the project is expected to be the first solo movie for Ben Affleck's version of the legendary vigilante.

The interesting extra bit of information added is the possibility that Affleck won't just be working in front of the camera on the rumored film. In their report, they note that Affleck's next directorial effort, Live By Night, is going to be going into production in the summer of 2015 with an October 2016 release date in the crosshairs. If The Batman isn't actually being planned until 2019, the actor-cum-filmmaker could easily take the production by the horns and helm it himself. Whether or not he would be actually interested in the gig is a whole other question, but given his history with and affinity for comics, I wouldn't imagine that he would dismiss the job out of hand. Given that the film is so far away, however, the answer to this question may not be available until years and years from now.

While we may not be getting a solo Batman movie in the next four years, it's not like he's disappearing from the world of features entirely. He will of course play a vital part in the upcoming Justice League film, which is rumored to come out in 2017. So, at the very worst we will be going two years without Batman on the big screen, but fans experienced longer gaps than that waiting for Christopher Nolan's Dark Knight trilogy to unfold.

We can expect to hear a lot more about the future of the DCs Cinematic Universe at future Comic-Cons.
