Yea it will be a bit of a juggling act I cut more of a curve in my dash pad but added foam and fiberglass so would not be a knife to anyone in the car and I wanted the dash face to look finished so the guy upholstering  it was showing me the batting and material he was going to install but that just makes me think of thickness and loss of depth . Yea that is A mountney wheel but damn they are small. I bribed one of the security gaurds at an onstar display at St louis but after climbing in the seat

the girl doing the anouncing had a cow that I was sitting in a 3 million dollar movie car and told me to get the hell out. Anyway I did not have time to get my tape measure out before being evicted,And this wheel I have looks damn small

you want small.. the smaller the better. There isn't much clearance between the steering wheel and the canopy when it is shut.. so it makes it hard to put your hand on the wheel and spin it around.

Here's a picture that's a little bit better showing the definition of the panels. It was still poor lighting

Over the last week we've been working on some odds and ends as we continue to prepare the car for ImportFest in August.

I'm dropping off the seats for their new upholstery this morning

I picked up the re-upholstered seats for the BatBerry the other day and I couldn't be happier with how they turned out!

Nice but can you put recaro head rest on them And this is going to be the part of the car that is going to take the most abuse putting your feet and hundreds of little feet on that seat every where you go.
so I have always wondered about a folding step on the inside that would fold back into your door panel
once you were done with it.

I left the headrest for now... I'm still dealing with some clearance issues on the slider for the canopy. So I'm not quite sure how wide I can make the headrest quite yet. Since it's a removable piece I can always go back and change it up later after everything is dialed in.

Yeah, kids getting up onto the side of the car is easy with the two steps, but it is a big step to get down from the side onto the top of the seat. Never thought of a fold out step on the passenger side.

Sorry gents but the Mountney wheel doesn't seem to go bigger than a 12" size? I did think that a fold out cover for the seat might be a solution to the footprint problem too - folded under the seats??
